This is a short story about how an author from small town New Zealand is likely to become the next big thing in Hollywood screen plays, following the success of projects like JANE CAMPIONS, THE PIANO.

Among many brilliant careers, Paul did a stint (translate that as career) in Hollywood audio post production. A career he set aside to write a series of books destined for the big screen.
FROM MUSIC TO HOLLYWOOD
When you spend a lot of time editing in post production, you become finely tuned to the nuances of storytelling. Imagine doing that for decades. Paul learned storytelling mastery, from the masters.

HOW I MET PAUL
Decades ago, during my time as a music recording artist studying film scoring and synchronisation. Paul had been sequestered by the New Zealand Government to teach up and coming composers how to prepare music for Hollywood.
At that time, TVNZ CLOSE UP had run a prime time documentary on my success working from home in rural New Zealand and licensing my compositions in Hollywood. (I did that as a hobby, while working as a General Manager for NewsTalkZB.) later, in 2007 I became the official composer for the Royal New Zealand Returned Services Association and all over the media and TV.
Paul's advice worked.
USA LAUNCH OF A MULTI PLATINUM SINGER
I later turned to Paul for advice on audio production for a multi platinum singer that I managed. Paul said simply, "USA audiences want vocal forward. Do that, and you'll succeed." Following Paul's advice, I created an award winning live concert series, recording all the concerts, then engineering vocal forward recordings, that positioned the voice as the star of the show.
Thanks to Paul's feedback, my audio production got the attention of a grammy award winning producer excited about my artist. Also gaining an invitation to compete in the European Song Competition in Riga, Latvia. Using Paul's advice, I produced the artist to win the grand prize.
A contract was signed and I launched the artist through a major production in France to 51 million people in USA.

Years later, I would also end up working remotely for Hollywood during a Covid contract as the Director of Operations for Hollywood Creative Academy. Paul was among some of the greatest film makers of all time, being asked to step up to educate a new generation. You don't get offered a seat at the table unless you are legitimate.
