Home is at D-Vine!
So many stories, so many D-Vine Creatives, so many highlights and so many people to shout out to, but I won't because I won't stop if I start. The main culprits being Brad & Danny, our camera guys who we love so much.
Bree, CiCi, Tameika, Morgan - 4 more notable mentions for all you guys do when you help with shows & classes or behind the scenes stuff.
And I'll never forget Katie, who although she's now in Tawoomba, Im thinking of today because I couldn't have gotten here without her and her love and support in the first year of D-Vine.
Ups and downs, and mistakes as a new business owner have been made, but I've got a supportive tribe around me, and the students are the biggest support 💚 thankyou for the greatest 2 year start to this crazy journey and here's to many many more years of fun, filming and drama ahead.
And as always, a huge thankyou to the parents for letting me work with your children and for being here with me on this journey.
Small businesses have to start somewhere, so we really value your love & support and we thankyou for being here 💚🥳
Our School Holiday Program is back! Book now - link in comments to book 🤩
Stage & Screen Workshops with D-Vine Drama
We offer two different types of workshops : Theatre and Stage & Screen.
Our Stage & Screen workshops equip students with valuable skills in filming techniques, acting for both film and stage, as well as technical elements such as sound and lighting. Ideal for individuals with a passion for both the technical and performance aspects of acting.
Available for Kindy through to the age of 22.
Our Theatre workshops are for students to explore acting skills without the need for extra work outside of class. This is beneficial for highschoolers with busy work & study schedules. It gives primary kids the opportunity to learn without needing to over commit. We are wanting to support young people in learning about theatre while also being able to focus on their other after school activities & school commitments
Available for years 1 through to 12

We are located in Goonellabah and Lennox for Stage & Screen.

Started teaching Jackson filmmaking! Jackson came to us with an idea for his own project and we began teaching him right away. For the last 2 years I’ve slowly been building up a new framework that gives students both stage & screen learning. Along with SAE Institute Australia graduates Brad & Danny, we’ve been hard at work in the background building up these new ideas and projects. The boys have only just graduated, so it’s been a mission working around their study schedules, but they’re officially joining on in 2024. Come along to our event, “Who Are You?” On Feb 17th at the Rochdale Theatre to learn more about us and what we’re doing! Come see Jackson’s first part of his project too!
Happy Friday 🎉
School is almost back and we are finalising things for term 1. We've been a bit silent this week as we've been running our School Holiday Stage & Screen intensive!
Those in attendance took part in the creation of a short film from concept through to filming, and learnt many new things about the differences between stage and screen as well as filming terms & techniques.
Our short film was a hit and thanks to our favourite filmmaker Brad who crammed in the editing last night, we were able to watch our work today and see ourselves on the TV.
We had a special appearance from our other favourite filmmaker, Danny, and spent the week looking into many different elements of stage & screen.
Such a successful week and we cannot wait to run this intensive workshop again next school holidays.
I never get enough time to actually capture all of what we do, but this shows a fair chunk of it.
It's been a huge year for me personally, so I thank every parent and student for standing by me. Look at what WE accomplished 💚
Theatre and Filming is meant to be an outlet and a home, thankyou for letting me be a second home for you all and for being my second home too.
I'll always strive to keep doing better. I'm not perfect, I'm making mistakes while navigating this new business, but I love my job and I love these kids!
Thankyou, and Happy New Year 💚🎭🎥

Youth Voices Coming Soon
Super excited to be bringing Youth Voices to you all.
It has been a huge year reinventing D-Vine and B&E Productions to find a way to bring stage and screen together.
We have had Bree, Brad and Danny join us this year, with Katie cheering us on from Toowoomba & giving us her support from afar. As always we have had Jane working hard alongside us too with the Wollongbar classes & showcase (the showcase could not have been done without our amazing Jane!)
To wrap up the year with TWO episodes of Youth Voices is something I am very proud of 🥰 D-Vine Family - we did it! A super year with superstar D-Vine Creatives.
Episode 1 is being released December 9th (This Saturday) and all of us at D-Vine (cast and crew) are hoping the community love it as much as we loved making it.
We have a website for the series now too:
www.youthvoices.tv
2024 will see D-Vine adapting into Stage & Screen workshops now that we have found our rhythm and discovered the key to mixing the two artforms together.
To all parents of currently enrolled students, thankyou for your ongoing support & understanding - being a young new business owner is a scary challenge, but you've all be great.
To all interested parents and students, hang tight as we will be taking a much needed break to recover after term 4 ends, but we are very excited to meet you in 2024.
Don't forget you can join the The D-Vine Drama Company Waitlist group for all the updates.
Go Team!
We have some of the coolest and grooviest cast, crew and parents.
Big hugs,
Miss Elysha x
Happy Friday Night!
Here's a little video to show what we've been working on this year ✨💚 it explains what the project is that we received funding for!
Our upcoming web series, "Youth Voices" has been a lot of fun so far.
We've still got students to get to for interview & filming opportunities - it's a process!
But head on over to "Youth Voices" Discussion Group for Students, Parents and Interviewees and request to join if you're interested in learning more, participating or staying updated.
#YouthVoices by D-Vine is an upcoming webseries created by local youth. This series is for any Youth to participate in, not just D-Vine students. The program is free to be part of too!
Youth Voices will be 20 episodes, with each episode broken down into interviews with local businesses, interviews with members of the community, and a fun segment which will change each episode.
The youth involved will gain experience with hosting and interviewing and will help document where we are one year after the floods.
To get involved we offer a free drama workshop which also consists of learning Interviewing & Hosting skills, once this workshop is completed we arrange an interview with the students & a local business or member of the community.
We have trialled the workshop with our D-Vine Youth Troupe, and have started commencing some filming with those students. This Saturday we went and got some footage of the Roller Derby tournament in Byron to use for one of our Interviews.
We have a couple of the Free workshops coming up, please head to our Link In Bio for more info! 💚
Couch Talks Episode 1
I was invited to be part of the Healing Hearts day over the school holidays! I came along with my Couch Talks program and asked the kids some questions about what's been happening lately!
Some of our very own Drama Faces came to be a part of the fun!
There will be more Couch Talks, as it was a lot of fun getting to know the young people of the Northern Rivers.
Adults, listen up! Some of these young people have some very important messages for you 🤩⭐
A big thankyou to Richmond Police District for having us ☺️
Lantern Parade Needs Your Help
A little video we made on Saturday for the Lismore Lantern Parade 💚
Well done Drama Faces! Amazing work over the last 2 Saturday’s.
