POWERED BY THE SUN

Lismore will soon get its first Electric Vehicle (EV) charging station in the heart of the CBD.

Council recently accepted a tender to design and construct a $600,000 ‘Solar Carpark’ in the Clyde Campbell carpark. The infrastructure includes the installation of an architectural ‘butterfly-shaped’ awning, clad with photo-voltaic solar panels and covering 40 carparks. It also includes the installation of two EV fast chargers, making them Lismore’s first.

The solar roof is funded through a $1 million grant provided by the Federal Government’s Drought Communities Program to 52 NSW councils to complete infrastructure and other drought-relief projects.

The sustainable design and shape of the roof is inspired by the native Richmond Birdwing Butterfly. The Birdwing Butterfly vine – the butterfly’s food source – will grow on the shade structure from hanging planter boxes.

The height of the structure means it will not be impacted by flood events.

I'm using Adobe Acrobat.
You can view "LCFD-2-A5-Lismore-R05.pdf" at: https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/track?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:fa7bf36f-1cf3-46a6-a398-b86ff9f50b6a

I did some research in regards to the recent reactivation of the Kandos Rylstone line and based of offical figures it cost 137,000$ to reopen.

Apply that figure to Nyngan to Bourke it cost 25 Million dollars to reopen - stuff all
Another eg the Cowra Lines would cost 13.8 million, This country/state has wasted more 25 million dollars on total garbage in the past I can tell you that! Sydney Stadiums prime example

So the rough line length of Kandos to Gulgong is 94km, it passes through a town (Mudgee) of 10,000 people alone. For one doesn’t that in itself constitute a passenger service to Sydney especially when the town’s citizens and council are in support of this?

Moree and Griffith have passenger rail services so why the hell does Mudgee not?

As many of you are very aware of the state government pocketed or as I plainly say just blatant stole 71 million dollars in November 2015 with the demise of Cobborah Coal. A project of 1.4 billion dollars worth and was to have a brand new 30km coal line built from Tallawang (near Gulgong) to Laheys Creek (near Cobborah/Dunedoo) guess what then Treasure Gladys Berejiklian canned that. Canned all of that in fact, then sold off all the land for the proposed mine site for no less then 71 million dollars.

Now if we put that into perspective of what it would cost to reopen the Mudgee Line (137k x 94km) = 12.8 million dollars required to reopen the whole railway line from Kandos to Gulgong.

Did Mid-Western Regional Council ever see a cent of that 71 million dollars siphoned off in 2015? You bet they didn’t

Did you ever see Gladys Berejiklian or the Nats members for Dubbo Troy Grant Dugald Saunders MP and then Orange MP (when Mudgee was in Orange) Andrew Gee MP ever advocate for that money to be spent in the local community where it was stolen from? The answer is no.

if this is what it costs to reopen a 94km track through a town of 10,000 people which saw significant culvert and level crossing upgrades during the Olympics thanks to Labor Premier Bob Carr could someone like Dugald Saunders please explain to me and everyone who reads this in general where the bloody hell is all that money like the missing 71 million dollars siphoned out of the likes of Cobborah Coal being spent!

It will cost 12.8 million for the Mudgee lines reopening, you read that right 12.8 million. Yet Sydney stadiums get 2.5 billion and dozens of cost blow outs. Gladys Berejiklian, Dom Perrottet MP, Paul Toole MP, Dugald Saunders you all should be totally ashamed of themselves to say the least

I like many country nsw people would think it would be a great gesture for at least one of the above to reopen this line like so many others before it that have been closed for no reason other then cost cutting and at least open their mouth in support of it.

STOP SELLING WESTERN/CENTRAL WESTERN NSW SHORT!
