🎶 Sunday Sesh with Cody Gunton (aka Cordis Green) 🎶

Welcome to Sunday Sesh, filmed at Disclosed Recordings!
This week, we’re thrilled to feature the incredible Cody Gunton. Fresh off his remarkable stint on The Voice Australia, where he made it to the knockout rounds, Cody brings his dynamic artistry and heartfelt performances to our studio.

In this session, Cody performs:
🎵 Devil Eyes – Originally intended as an album filler for his Paper Planes album, this track found new life after some rehearsing and reworking. Now one of his favourite songs to perform live, "Devil Eyes" is a testament to the power of evolving creativity.

🎵 This Is The End – A song from the Imperfections EP by Cordis Green, this acoustic-driven track draws inspiration from Matchbox Twenty, Dashboard Confessional, and Foo Fighters. Rooted in raw emotion and storytelling, it’s a perfect fit for the intimate setting of Sunday Sesh.

I've made the decision to continue doing the Sunday Sesh series.

To ensure I can sustain the series and continue supporting local Tassie musos, I've introduced a small fee of $75 for each Sunday Sesh video.
Artists involved will receive all the files for their personal use after it's done, and can do what they like with them once I've posted the video 🙏

🎶 Sunday Sesh with Justin O'Garey Music 🎶

Welcome to Sunday Sesh, filmed at Disclosed Recordings!
This week, we’re delighted to present an intimate folk performance by Justin O'Garey.

In this session, Justin performs two songs.
The first, Too Good To Be True, reflects on Justin’s experiences as a shy and awkward youngster with little success in romantic pursuits. The song tells the story of moments when things seemed promising, only to end with the realisation that he was being toyed with. Despite its upbeat and catchy sound, the song has a bittersweet undertone. Justin finds humour and inspiration in those experiences, turning them into a fun, groove-filled track.

The second track, Passed The Line, carries a simmering tension throughout most of the track, capturing a feeling of seething anger that eventually snaps as the energy kicks up a few notches. The shift in mood feels like a musical embodiment of frustration boiling over—a raw and expressive moment.

Justin’s sound is raw and analog, aiming to capture the authentic emotion and skill of an artist without digital interference. Every song he writes features a memorable hook—be it a riff, melody, or subtle guitar part—because, to him, a track isn’t complete without one, even the ballads.

His influences span decades, from the rock of the ‘60s and ‘70s (like Free) to all styles of blues, with a soft spot for the catchy vibes of 90s and 2000s pop and rock. Among contemporary artists, Chris Stapleton is his favourite, admired for his soulful blend of rock, blues, and country, his “band in a room” production style, and his phenomenal voice.

🎶 Sunday Sesh with Liam Chapman 🎶

Welcome to Sunday Sesh, filmed at Disclosed Recordings!
This week, we’re honoured to showcase the heartfelt indie sounds of Liam Chapman.

In this session, Liam performs his original song, "Richard's Song," written in memory of his cousin, someone he looked up to deeply. Tragically, his cousin passed away a few years ago, and this song is a tribute to him and the impact he had on Liam’s life.

For his cover, Liam chose a song he loves for its joyful, relatable vibe—especially for those in their 20s. "The Dreggs are one of my favourite Australian bands," he shares, adding that the track resonates with him and brings a sense of connection to his audience.

As for his own songwriting, Liam admits he’s still discovering his sound, though he feels it leans toward alternative indie and folk styles.

Liam doesn't have any recorded any material on streaming services yet but we’re excited to hear and see more from him soon.

🎶 Sunday Sesh with Dylan Boys 🎶

Welcome to Sunday Sesh, filmed at Disclosed Recordings!
This week, we’re excited to showcase the country/rock melodies of Dylan Boys, who is a current member of a 5 piece Tasmanian band fronted by Dylan himself.

In this session, Dylan performs his original song, "700 Miles." Dylan shares that the song reflects the challenges of watching a partner move away and his emotions about maintaining a long-distance relationship. While the title isn’t directly mentioned in the lyrics, it represents the 700-mile distance between them.

Dylan chose his cover purely out of love for the song, enjoying the chance to give it an acoustic twist. He appreciates the contrast between performing a slower, heartfelt original and a more upbeat cover. When it comes to songwriting, Dylan’s process is straightforward—just a spark of inspiration, an acoustic guitar, and a notebook. He explains, “All the songs I write with the band draw from our country and rock roots. We definitely have our own sound but are influenced by artists like Keith Urban and Diesel—a unique combo, I know.”

Dylan has some recorded any material on streaming services as a solo artist or but we are yet to hear music releases with his band, we’re excited to see where both projects will go.

🎶 Sunday Sesh with Imogen Prince 🎶

Welcome to Sunday Sesh, filmed at Disclosed Recordings!
This week, we’re excited to showcase the emotive tones of Imogen Prince, who is a current member of 4 piece Tasmanian band, Midpoint.

In this session, Imogen performs her original song, "Bring It Back." Imogen explains that it reflects the struggle to communicate effectively with those around you.
Imogen chose to cover Valerie for its upbeat vibe, giving a refreshing contrast to the original. Her sound leans towards indie folk, though it often shifts to blend elements of pop and indie folk. She draws inspiration for her vocals, writing, and melodies from artists like Jeff Buckley, Big Thief, and Stevie Nicks.

Imogen hasn’t recorded any material yet, either as a solo artist or with her band, but we’re excited to see where both projects will go.
