With renovations funded by the Queensland Gambling Community Benefit Fund, MMOA will re-open in March 2024 and start exhibit the works of other artists. In April 2024, MMOA will feature a joint project of the Wayne Weaver Foundation and Birrunga Gallery β the travelling show, Colonisation.
With this milestone, we start a program of guest exhibitions from Birrunga Gallery as companion pieces to the work of Gil Jamieson.
Monto Museum of Art (MMOA) celebrates the legacy of Gil Jamieson and aims to collaborate with other galleries to make the small Queensland town a cultural destination

Lady Bjelke-Petersen Health Hub - Media Release from the South Burnett Community Hospital Foundation Ltd π₯
Chair of the South Burnett Community Hospital Foundation, Wayne Kratzmann today welcomed the announcement of the new $130 million South Burnett Community Health Precinct (Lady Bjelke-Petersen Health Hub).
βThis is a transformative project aimed at addressing critical infrastructure limitations for the local and broader regional communityβ Mr Kratzmann said.

PM Malcolm Turnbull pays tribute to Lady Flo Bjelke-Petersen.
Lady Flo Bjelke-Petersen was farewelled today with a state funeral in Kingaroy. During the service, Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull read a prayer, which read in part: "Lord God, ... We thank you for Florence , for the gift of life and grace to her, for her faithfulness to you and her service to others." He later gave #4SB and #SouthBurnettTimes this tribute to Lady Flo.
