POV: ADVICE FROM #HOTDOGMUMS TELLING YOU TO "JUST DO IT"
This advice is so unnecessary, so pointless and will only leave you feeling like a failure.
It's time to work out how to make changes that are manageable for YOU in and around your CURRENT life commitments.
If you're struggling to find holes and spaces in your schedule for YOU, lets chat!
"YOU CAN EAT WHAT YOU WANT, CALORIE DEFICIT IS ALL THAT MATTERS IF IT FITS YOUR MACROS"
There is far more to nutrition than "If it Fits Your Macros"...
Don't get caught up in another "fad" diet trend

10,000 steps a day doing your head in??
You are not alone, PLEASE do not feel compelled to go and shuffle around your lounge room for the next 20 minutes to hit your 10,000 Step Target, what is more important is have you done 30 minutes of moderate physical activity that leaves you panting, unable to easily talk to the person next to you and a little bit sweaty...
You see, my step counter doesn't work when I go for a bike ride yet I have clearly physically exerted myself and I have worked on my cardiovascular fitness. It doesn't work when I participate in a Body Pump class, BUT if you've ever done one before you know you've worked up a sweat.
Having this as a target can for some people create just another level of something to fail at we have enough on our plates and enough to think about when it comes to looking after ourselves and our health to not add something that isn't even scientifically backed onto our plates.
10,000 steps is an unfair standard... Here's why⬇️
It is all very well to say that the average person needs to complete 10,000 steps but when our watches are pre-programmed to 10,000 steps a day to remind us to get up and move our bodies every 15-20 minutes.
It can be really disheartening as a new parent to feel like you're failing at something so apparently simple if you are a new parent or a parent of a child who is starting solids you are guaranteed to be spending a lot of time sitting down dealing with that child, do not BULLY yourself over those steps; change the goal change the goal to something that is just a little more challenging than easy so that you can succeed, while also making progress.
You're going to feel a lot more confident in your ability to achieve that goal and a lot less disheartened every. single. day.
😬😵💫 LIKE ANY MUSCLE YOU JUST GOTTA TRAIN IT TO MAKE IT BETTER...
Absolutely not the case!
When it comes to pelvic floor health, as personal trainers we are unable to see or feel what is going on inside a woman's body so it would negligent of us to assume what is happening without the correct assessment by a Woman's Health Physio a qualified and highly educated trainer will it encourage you to speak with a women's health physio to have an assessment done and then liaise with that physio to ensure the exercise is you do moving forward are appropriate for your care plan moving forward.

⚠️TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️
*eating disorder*
I remember a time when I would sit in my car and secretly eat excessive amounts of food, hide the packages inside packages, put them at the bottom of the bin... All just so I didn't have to admit what I had eaten. I would then go home and make myself sick and feel terrible about myself for however long until i could do it again... I was so sick. So drained. And as much as I tried to use it as a form of control.... I WAS WAY OUT OF CONTROL
It is taken work a lot of work to get to where I am now, to have a healthy relationship with food, to be able to have foods i once considered "bad" or "unhealthy" and not completely spiral. I remember in my 20s freaking out at the thought of anyone seeing me eat anything but "health" foods. Sure, I did, but it played on my mind constantly.
As I sat in my car, ready to enjoy my solo cupcake 🧁 I was thinking about how far I've actually come.
I didn't want to share it or be asked to share it or have that whole situation turn into a dual tantrum BECAUSE "sharing is caring"... NOT because I don't want to admit that I'd eaten it....
Such a humbling moment. And to share with every single person who follows me, seeing that I have, in fact, eaten this cupcake, enjoyed the cupcake, and have 0% guilt for doing so.
Breaking the negative cycle, the control addiction and the poor relationships around food IS possible. But YOU need to be open to change, to being a little uncomfortable and to fighting for your own slice of sanity.
⚖️A life in which you are free of food guilt and restrictive behaviours is true balance.

LET'S TALK ABOUT S*X FOR A SECOND
Let's talk about the fact that you feeling more confident in your body and wanting to get your clothes off and liking what you see is going to lead to more and better quality experiences for you and your partner.
So your partner loves you the way you are, and they tell you this... but You don't feel comfortable the way you are... YOU want to feel sexier, leave the lights on, pull out the flirty dance moves.
Taking time to work on you, how you feel, and building your strength is the gateway to feeling more confident in your skin and in yourself.
And when we are more confident, we leave the lights on, we initiate more instead of hiding ourselves, we wear those little bit more revealing outfits, walk a little sassier, are happier to be seen in your vulnerable self!
➡️Next time you think about "asking your partner" before investing in you.
➡️Next time if they say "why are you spending your money on that"
Remember, your confidence will have a roll on effect to your partner too...
POV YOU'VE TRIED EVERYTHING!
Except taking YOURSELF into consideration.
(PS. Not me soft launching that nutrition is coming soon 💁🏼♀️)
