Our roster contains what we consider some amazing and upcoming Australian; folkpunk, folk, punk, folkrock, celtic punk, and bluegrass artists. We have releases from the following artists:

The Dead Maggies (Hobart) - Tasmanian Convict Punk. Raucous cowpunk & folkpunk mixed with haunting murder ballads, timeless story telling and foot-stompin', heart pounding r

hythms. The Dead Maggies have released two album and two EPs through FTYP, each receiving national airplay and international acclaim. The Ramshackle Army (Melbourne) - a high energy celtic punk band, who've been back and forth between Australian and USA tours with the likes of Dropkick Murphys, Frank Turner and The Tossers. Handsome Young Strangers (Sydney)
Australiana Bushpunk stalwarts Handsome Young Strangers are an institution in the Sydney Folk/Punk scene. HYS in 2017 is as much a collective as a band with up to 5 extra members joining the 6 core members at any time. The Button Collective (North NSW) are an exciting and energetic folk band. Their music borrows elements from traditional folk bands of Australia, Ireland, and central Europe, spiced with the spirit of fast-paced bluegrass from America, and all with a very personal and intimate delivery. We also stock some LPs from American label Flail Records (Days N Daze, Bridge City Sinners, Escape From the Zoo). Oh, and we put out the HOBOFOPO compilation album each year. Folk 'Til Ya Punk..... then do it again.

Rob Taxpayer's solo acoustic shows were sick last weekend. The Punkfest 18+ evening show was SOLD OUT! and a heap of people walked through the rain to brave a shelter in the park for the afternoon AA show after the 4zzz carpark turned into a giant puddle.
This weekends' HOBOFOPO is shaping up to be massive too.

Most of the The Taxpayers shows have sold >50% of presales now. So don't rely on door sales being available, and jump on those presales while you still can.
45 tickets left for Meanjin/Brisbane Rob solo tomorrow night.
40 tickets left for the Naarm/Melbourne AA afternoon show.
70 tickets left for Gadigal/Sydney Get Folked Punk.
80 tickets left for Hobofopo Taxpayers show (and the HOBOFOPO festival passes are sold out).

Tickets have been steadily selling for a month now, most shows are nearing 50% sold, so I figure we can drop some of these 'selling fast - don't miss out' red text thingos on the flier.
So here is your reminder to get onto those tickets asap, save leaving it too late and missing out, and if there's a bunch more tickets sold then i can update those little red markup thingos to be 'low ticket warning' or 'final tickets' or 'almost sold out' or whatever you think should go on there.

Thanks Tasmanian Times for this article. We are starting to get excited about hosting these bands in a couple of months.

From NPR Tiny Desk and TEDx Stages in the states, Apes Of The State and Pigeon Pit, will be hitting the road together from 17 November through to 3 December. Both bands are direct to Australia for their first taste of international touring, They will be starting in Adelaide and traversing over to Me...

HOBart's Original FOlk Punk O**y is on 24-26th November 2023, with all your favourite acoustic punk, celt-rock and boozy bluegrass acts, plus a couple of headliners from the USA that we are extremely excited about. Tickets are now live at Moshtix, and the lineup is visible in this awesome poster that you are most welcome to share around.
