Introducing LJ Parks (she/they)! is an AFMA nominated, award winning guitarist and singer-songwriter based in nipaluna (Hobart). As a solo performer and leader of the LJ Parks Band, LJ is known for emotionally driven, playfully wry lyricism and catchy melodies. Her new EP, “All Caught Up,” is out now - produced with ARIA award winner Monique Brumby.

LJ will be launching the EP with her band and special guests at The Grand Poobah this Friday (Nov 3rd), and in kanamaluka (Launceston) on December 3rd. Tickets available through the link in our bio (ljparks.com/links).

LJ is our first Specific Gull artist! We look forward to sharing more of her music and upcoming gigs soon!

Hello! We are Specific Gull - a small creative studio based in nipaluna, lutruwita on muwinina and Palawa country (Hobart, Tasmania). Created by LJ Parks - Musician to release tunes independently, we hope to grow slowly and sustainably to do other cool things as an independent creative space founded in music. Maybe we’ll plan some cool gigs, do the odd bit of design work and release some music? Contrary to our name, we’re not too specific about these things and fly though life by the seat of our tail feathers. 😉 (We do like to plan things methodically well in advance though, of course!)
