They say “you’ll never be lonely on the Stuart Highway”. Many people dress up the termite mounds with Tshirts and hats.
As a result many people think the dressed up mounds are people on the side of the road.
Check out our little Kingston person making his debut on the Stuart Highway between Alice Springs and TenantCreek, Northern Territory.

Have you noticed a sudden explosion of butterflies lately? 🦋🥰
These are the Blue Tigers... mostly a tropical butterfly and can be seen nearly all year round in North Queensland. They are migratory and fly south during spring and summer reaching southern Queensland, NSW and even Victoria.
This recent eruption of Blue Tigers in Queensland was probably due to the high rainfall and hot temperatures. ☔️☀️
When cooler weather arrives, Blue Tigers will head back north passing through southern Queensland in April and May. They are known to congregate in huge numbers over winter, clustering on stems and vines in sheltered gullies in central and north Queensland. Individual Blue Tiger adults may live up to 6 months - during which time they have migrated, bred and possibly overwintered.
What a wonderful display of nature for us during tougher times ☺️

Turtle season is in full swing 🐢
The guys from Drop Bear Adventures K'gari - Fraser Island Tours were unbelievably lucky and watched these beautiful baby turtles toddling to the safety of the waters of Lake McKenzie.
In many of Fraser Island's freshwater lakes and creeks, a unique species of tortoise can be found, while the water that surrounds the island is home to dugongs, dolphins and turtles.
