St Mary's Coptic Orthodox College from Sunbury has been in this week for the first time doing Kool Skools, the beautiful thing is that the music teacher, Sabrina Lim-How did Kool Skools when she was younger at Nazareth College and now completes the full circle bringing her students in to the studios!

Albury City are in the studios today for roughly their 16th Kool Skools album I think! With a bunch of students from several schools up that way. The amazing Mandy Wilson from Albury Youth who leads the bus loads each year! Great bunch of young talented people getting a true workplace experience they will never forget! So much better than just writing songs in the classroom or recording with a laptop at school! Students working with top engineers Trevor Carter, Mat Robins and Simon Paparo at Empire Music Studios.

Thanks for everyone who sent me Birthday wishes today, it's just the smallest number in the next countdown for another decade so no big celebrations this year. Lots of things to be grateful for and excited about as some amazing changes in the works for me, as I'm selling my house and 2 cars that I've had since 1996. Time for some new digs closer to the new studios and a slightly more sensible car given that I'm not 20 anymore. Let's hope the world doesn't self combust with all the current woes and crazy people, just keen to keep on keeping on and doing more wonderful projects with great musicians in the studios! Thanks for all the nice wishes! Take care.

Another interesting artist from the Kool Skools Alumni is Amaya Laucirica, her voice captured our attention from our SA Kool Skools project and she performed live and won awards at the Governor Hindmarsh Awards show that year for "He's So Strange". We even signed her to our label at the time but unfortunately it didn't work out and she moved to Sydney at the time. Appearing Live at the Gasometer tomorrow night.
