🌟 Hawkesbury Seniors ‘Time To Shine’ Project 🌟

Each March, Seniors Week celebrates the valuable contributions seniors make to our society. At Richmond Community Services Inc., we want to acknowledge and promote Hawkesbury seniors who have made a positive and noteworthy impact on their community.

Do you know a senior in the community whose light shines bright in the Hawkesbury?
Is it YOU that want so share how YOU shine?

We want to hear their/your story! ✨
🏆 Whether it is:
• Years of dedication to a local group like Lions, Rotary, or SES
• An incredible talent (e.g., painting, crafting, or performing)
• Or someone who has led a diverse, inspiring life and uplifted others
The most compelling stories will be featured in a travelling exhibition, officially launched at Richmond Community Services during Seniors Week in March 2025, and displayed throughout the community. The exhibition will include a photo and details of each story.

Your nomination should include a little about the person/you, how long they/you have lived in the Hawkesbury and include a brief overview of how you ‘shine’.

The RFS have done it! They have taken the thong throwing championship trophy from Fire and Rescue…and it’s definitely party time!

Well done to Tony from Hawkesbury Headquarters Rural Fire Brigade, who came home with the win after some serious competition from our other local emergency services contestants.

A little birdie may have told me when I was in the Communications room yesterday, that Tony and the boys had put some long hours into training yesterday, perfecting their thong throwing technique at the station…and it has absolutely paid off!

Now that the golden thong is in the hands of the RFS, I can’t be accused of disloyalty anymore! 🤣🤣🤣

Better luck next year Jud! And thanks for the inappropriate laughs MC Farmer Dave!
