Noni Hazlehurst AM has been loved by Australian film and television viewers - and theatre audiences - for 40 years.

Recently in A Place To Call Home, she is also known for Play School and The Sullivans, as well as Redfern Now and Better Homes & Gardens. Her film roles have taken her from Monkey Grip to Little Fish, Candy and Ladies in Black.

On stage, she has performed in sell-out tours of the one woman play Mother and the Sydney Theatre Company’s The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Following Ruth Cracknell, Noni was the second woman to be inducted into the TV Week Logie Hall of Fame (2016).

Born in Melbourne to British-born vaudevillian parents, Noni was the only Australian-born member of her immediate family. She is the mother of two sons.

Business leader, ad man and environmentalist, Geoff Cousins AM was one of the most successful advertising men of the 1980s. He started with the George Patterson ad agency at 21 and had a 27-year career there, including time as chairman.

His corporate life includes a stint as CEO of Optus, as well as serving as a board director for 10 public companies. Geoff was also the founding chair of the children’s cancer charity Starlight Children's Foundation Australia and Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art Australia. He was president of the Australian Conservation Foundation from 2014 to 2018.

In 2007 he fulfilled a lifelong ambition to write a novel, with the publication of a boisterous thriller about corruption and excess in the corporate world, The Butcherbird (Allen & Unwin).

Broadcaster, journalist and author Mike Carlton AM had a Sydney suburban childhood where every penny counted. Unable to afford a university education, he left school at 16 to begin a life in journalism that would propel him to the top.

Working in journalism for more than 50 years, Mike became one of Australia’s best-known media figures. He has been a radio and television news and current affairs reporter, foreign correspondent, radio host and newspaper columnist.

Mike has also had a lifelong passion for naval history and is the author of books including Cruiser (William Heinemann Australia, 2011), First Victory (Random House Australia, 2013) and Flagship (William Heinemann Australia, 2016). He tells his own story in On Air (Ebury Australia, 2019).

Bondi-born to a Chinese father and English/Italian mother, Jenny Kee AO is internationally acclaimed as an artist and designer. Her vibrant work as a pioneer of Australian style reflects her passion for our unique and precious environment.

Early on, Jenny worked with style guru and vintage trailblazer Vern Lambert at London's Chelsea Antique Market: “My university of fashion and life.”

Back home in 1973, she opened her frock salon Flamingo Park in Sydney’s Strand Arcade. Together with designer Linda Jackson, an Australian fashion identity was created. Flamingo Follies shows became legendary. Across 40 years, Jenny's work has appeared on silk, paper, wool, cotton, ceramics and canvas.

Jenny wrote her autobiography A Big Life (Penguin, 2006) at her home in the Blue Mountains wilderness.

South Australian-born Ian Chappell captained Australia in 30 cricket Tests between 1971 and 1975. While he was in charge, Australia didn't lose a series.

The statistics show he scored 5,345 runs at an average of 42.42 in 75 Test appearances, including 14 centuries, with a highest score of 196 against Pakistan in Adelaide in 1972. In the field, Ian's leg spinners returned him 20 wickets and his safe slips hands took 105 catches.

Ian has been inducted into the halls of fame of Sport Australia (1986), F**A Cricket (2000), Cricket Australia (2003) and ICC Cricket (2009).

He has more than a dozen books to his name, including Chappelli: Life, Larrikins and Cricket (Penguin, 2012). Ian is also known as a broadcaster and refugee advocate.

Growing up in a house with no electricity and lots of books, Wendy McCarthy AO has spent her life driving change. Across 50 years she has worked as a mentor, speaker, writer, social activist and company manager.

Wendy’s career began as a secondary teacher. In 1968, she moved out of the classroom and into public life. A feminist, she was a founding member of the Women's Electoral Lobby, Australia and remains an advocate for women.

Her corporate life includes board roles with major companies. She has also established several businesses, including the consulting practice McCarthy Mentoring, which specialises in providing mentors to major corporations, the public sector and not for profit organisations. Her daughter Sophie McCarthy bought the practice in 2012 and Wendy continues as a mentor.

Wendy has written several books including her memoir, Don’t Fence Me In (Random House, 2000).
