GRAB A COPY TODAY. EXCLUSIVE!
Will CGRC go to an election this year or not? Councillors don't necessarily have to vote to employ an organisation to help hold it which may mean that CGRC will be operating outside of the local government act and there may be no election. This month's meeting will decide on whether or not there will be an election. The Times' and the community get the feeling that if it was for the original Councils there wouldn't be a problem, however, CGRC Councillors appear to be fed up with the treatment and the feet dragging by the local government minister and the man who the buck stops with, Premier Chris Minns.

St Patricks School needs your help for our lamb/sheep drive on the 19th June, to raise funds for important school facilities projects.

Please contact Aaron Nicholls (0417 660 568) or Craig Hargreaves (0428 471 525) if you’re interested in donating some lambs.

From Aaron – “Animals can either be dropped off at Jack Hawthorne’s yards in Gundagai or there will be volunteers doing the rounds to pick up from properties. All deliveries must be picked up or dropped off to Jack’s by 4:30pm Wednesday the 19th of June along with an NVD, (all animals must have an ear tag). We are looking for good quality animals that will be transported to Wagga by Phil and Fi Worldon free of charge and Delta Livestock are also going to provide selling of the animals free of charge. Could you please let one of the below numbers know via text or call if you think you will be able to help with a donation of one or more lambs/sheep.

RSVP 5PM SUNDAY 16TH JUNE"

St Patricks School Community Council sincerely thanks Delta Livestock, Aaron & Marg Nicholls, Phil & Fi Worldon, Craig & Alicia Hargreaves, and of course, all of the families donating lambs and/or time, for their support with this initiative.

Reiland Taboo T81 will be among the 35 bulls to be offered at the Reiland Angus May 21 sale, 11am.

With beef industry analysts forecasting a profit lift of 35 to 40 per cent for quality beef, Reiland Angus is set to offer an especially selected line of 35 bulls on Tuesday, May 21.
Reiland Angus co-principal Mark Lucas said there was a strong future for international beef demand as 2025 approached.
“Such a forecast makes decisions made now for breeding herd genetics important so producers can optimize this forecast industry uplift,” Mr Lucas said.
With the sale to be held at Killimicat Station, Tumut, more than 60 per cent of the catalogue on May 21 is suitable for heifer joinings across all breeds.
“The offering highlights the Reiland Angus focus of easy care, high growth and superior carcase traits of eye muscle and marbling,” Mr Lucas said.
“The Lucas family has responded to clients who prefer to purchase bulls in a stress free, flexible environment via the buyer favoured Helmsman system.
“All bulls are delivered free of charge by Reiland Angus. Numerous bulls on offer post top level EBV’s (estimated breeding values) for calving ease and low birthweight.”
