UPDATE: 9:30am 5 February 2025.

⚠️ BOIL WATER ALERT REMAINS IN PLACE – Users of water supply in Terrigal, North Avoca, Avoca Beach, Copacabana, MacMasters Beach, Picketts Valley, Erina, Erina Heights and Kincumber are advised to boil water prior to consumption.

The Boil Water Alert issued by Council yesterday remains in place.

Recent samples have detected the presence of E. coli bacteriato, and further testing to validate the result is underway. NSW Health has been alerted.

Community safety is a priority and so until test results can be confirmed by an independent NATA (National Association of Testing Authorities) accredited laboratory, in consultation with NSW Health, Council has taken a precautionary approach to issue the Boil Water alert.

Definitive test results are expected mid-afternoon and as soon as they are provided to Council we will update the community. We anticipate an update by 3.30pm Wednesday 5 February 2025.

Council’s priority is community safety. Residents and businesses are advised until further notice:

🔴 Water used for drinking or food preparation should be brought to a rolling boil. Kettles with automatic shut off switches can do this. Water should then be allowed to cool and stored in a clean container with a lid and refrigerated.
🔴 Immune compromised people should be especially vigilant.
🔴 People caring for young children, should be careful to avoid scalding, when you are heating and then cooling the water.
🔴 Tap water is safe for bathing. There is a potential risk if water is swallowed during washing and bathing. Parents and carers could consider a sponge bath for children as an alternative.

It is important the community acts on the advice provided by Central Coast Council to keep boiling their water.

Kicking off this week's show something a little different as we sift through our final 10 votes into the 2024 Hottest 100, then we feature new tracks from WA indie rockers Spacey Jane, Starcrazy, annie hamilton, Melbourne act Delivery band and Sydney artist Ruel.

The Wildcard heads back to the early 1990's to revisit something the 4th studio album from a very well-known US rock act who originally formed when two Los Angeles bands decided to combine into one and The Vault heads back to the early 1970's.

Happy Sunday Music Lovers!

And a big happy 50th birthday to triple j who on this day kicked off at 11AM and has defiantly been one of the greatest broadcasters ever since supporting new and emerging artists since day 1, just between you, me and the fence post I'm only a couple of months younger 😀👍

This week on the show we will be kicking off with our Hottest 100 votes, still the hardest decisions of the year.

The Wildcard takes us back to the early 90's to revisit the fourth studio album from a very well-known US rock act, bit of a hint Raphael's painting The School of Athens and The Vault takes us back to the early 70s this week an English rock band originally known as the Doc Thomas Group
