Myriad Studios and BioSpine were interviewed for Channel 10’s The Project. Myriad has been in collaboration with Dr. Dinesh Palipana, Dr. Claudio Pizzolato, Project BioSpine, and Griffith University for over two years now in the research of spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
The utilisation of Myriad’s state-of-the-art cyber scanner and VR technology is one of Bio Spine’s key features. As trial participant Heath Bartels-Waller states “The VR aspect just changes the game for me”.
Overall, five participants have taken part in the BioSpine trial to date. At the beginning of the trial, two of the five participants recorded no voluntary movement or sensation below their spinal cord injury. However, after the completion of the trial, these two participants have successfully regained movement and feeling. What an achievement!
The team are honoured to be able to collaborate on such an important project. And hey, take it from Dr. Dinesh Palipana himself, who states our innovative cyberscanning rig “is so cool!”

Further to Myriad’s involvement with Netflix’s Spaceman. With heavy VFX requirements, Myriad Studios scanned and modelled the hero “spacesuit”. The rendered 3D model assisted VFX vendors in creating Jakub’s stunning scenes beyond of the confines of his space shuttle.

Captured on-location in Czech Republic, Myriad Studios 3D scanned the above environment for Netflix’s Spaceman starring Adam Sandler. Processed in-house by Myriad, the 3D scan assisted VFX vendors and VFX Supervisor Matt Sloan, in the creation and visual storytelling of Spaceman. As critics have stated “… VFX worked gracefully together to make every set and location come across as believable and lived in.”

Team Myriad captured this environment using their latest LiDAR scanning technology for Universal Puctures’ Tickets to Paradise. Myriad processed the data in-house to create a 3D model of the “fallen tree” and the surrounding environment. Thanks to Myriad’s LiDAR scan, the VFX vendors were able to digitally extend the set resulting in the final scene audience members saw on screen.

The details of this scan are incredible. Myriad Studios cyber scanned this character for NBC’s La Brea. The accuracy of Myriad’s work and advanced technology, allowed for every detail to be captured and 3D modelled in incredibly high detail. From the texture of the clothing, right down to the braids in the hair – nothing went amiss.
