Syzygy Studios is on the lookout for a Line Producer for an indie feature film that is currently in Pre-Production.

The Line Producer is the conduit between the producers and funding/distribution bodies. They are the conceptual driver, supporting the creative team, Producers and Director. The primary role is to support the production from concept through to ex*****on and to assist in relationships with potential investors and
distributors.

Relationships, networking and strong communication skills are critical to the success of this role and to the production. This role requires an in-depth technical
understanding of film production.

An intimate and experienced understanding of the challenges & opportunities which exist from a procurement perspective including and not limited to forecasting of film budgets and funding.

The Line Producer should have proven experience in the below:

• Film Recruitment
• Negotiations
• Implementation and accounting for production i.e.
Film budgeting and financial plans
• Distribution and funding knowledge
• Safety and Risk Management
• Film Investment Knowledge

A bit about Lainey!
Lainey Baldwin is a QLD based actress with an array of experience on set for television series', feature films, television commercials, web series' and many short films. Lainey is represented by and has completed acting studies with many Australian institutions such as the Warehouse Workshop, NIDA, the fACTORy Acting Studio, the New York Film Academy, along with several LA-based studios. Her next on screen appearance will be in the upcoming feature film “The Lost One”, which is set to premiere in the coming months.

Pierce Gordon is an actor, writer and director from Detroit Michigan. He’s been performing within film, commercial and theatre since early 2018. Along with over 20 short film projects to his name, some of his early work includes a 2019 theatre performance of ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf’ produced by AdAstra theatre company in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. Late 2020 gave way to Pierce’s writer/directorial debut, a stage play “Jingle Bells Sucks Baubles” and original script produced by AdAstra theatre company. Pierce was also involved in a small commercial campaign for the app ‘LawPath’ an online legal service. Produced by Ipermedia production company, you can find the commercial showing currently on any major social media platform. Pierce is also a regular on the Sit-Down stand-up comedy circuit in and around the Brisbane/ Gold Coast areas. Having performed in a Brisbane Comedy Festival show ‘Lowered Expectations’ in late 2019. Pierce is currently studying creative writing and literary studies under the Bachelor of Arts at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, AUS. He’s trained with acting coaches such as Kristy Sexton through Ben Parkinson Casting and Tom McSweeney’s Warehouse.
