Ruminating in the realms of House, perennial party heavyweight DJ R***i has more than made his mark on Brisbane’s club scene. The 90s trance and progressive house eras lent R***i his initial exposure to electronica and played a pivotal role in this Brisbane born lad developing a commitment to unearth and elevate incredible dancefloor gems. R***i’s formative years were spent listening to the likes

of John Digweed, Darude and heavenly trance-ters - Deep Dish and Above and Beyond. Dance music artistry crafted by seminal artists who belonged to this ‘Trance/House’ Collective, ignited R***i’s passions - particularly the ‘direct from Europe’ Anthem Ensemble. With a listening repertoire as wide as this, an exemplary appreciation for House music had begun to cultivate. With his reverence for rave embedded and a rambunctious respect for life and all its adventure R***i has funnelled his energies to refine and continuously reinvent his selection of sounds. His layered sweet spot, imprinted now as part of the fabric of Brisbane’s nightclub scene and delivered via his interpretation of soulful smooth electronica. Each track chosen for its melodic manipulations and emotive malleability, resulting in dense dancefloor sets - designed for maximum movement. Thorough in his history and grounded in his taste - this lad knows. For it’s R***i’s ability to imbue the history makers of the House Movement within the context of the modern landscapes of Deep House, Nu-Disco, Bass House, and Indie subgenres. Delivering masterful interwoven sets for the senses to make merry with.
