Your choice of typeface needs to strike a balanced combination of legibility and readability, while remaining appropriate for the audience and the message. Here are some things to consider when selecting a combination of fonts:
🌟What is your goal? Consider your hierarchy of wording (what text is most important for your client to read? Where do you want to direct their attention first?) …this will dictate size and whether your font should be BOLD). You want the typeface for your headers to complement your subheaders and vice versa. Does the pairing look good together?
🌟Aesthetic- Your font should align with your imagery. A cursive or script font is not often used on a main heading for a masculine product. Similarly, a font that resembles handwriting is not suitable for a corporate proposal or high end, luxury product. Before you choose a font, consider what the font says to you and whether it aligns with your messaging and goals.
