We’ve been forgotten while women across the country continue to receive this implant every day. Big pharma and legal are the only winners here, leaving a trail of victims behind them.

We will keep fighting and I’ll keep advocating for the mesh women and myself. They’ve all been through so much, and they keep fighting. True warrior women!

It might be too late for us to get what we deserve, we’ve been taken advantage of by the failure of the class action system in this country. But we won’t stop until the mesh is banned and no other woman is maimed like this.

*a few corrections… the mesh IS NOT BANNED as the journalist stated. It is still approved by the TGA and being implanted every day across the nation. Just another failure of the TGA to keep Australians safe…

*.. …the class action did not finish a year ago and the women have yet to receive a cent, while the legal teams clock up multi millions in fees. The interim payment they speak of is $4k, and we all have to repay Medicare / Centrelink for any surgeries or medical treatment we’ve had in relation to the mesh. Why, when the government is responsible for harming us all, should we have to pay them back? Yet another failure of our government and our systems

Right now a lot of my praccy clients are asking me "is the year done"?

They're wondering if...

The ABC did a story on the pelvic mesh case. Thank you to the ABC Australia for helping us spread the word on what's REALLY happening with the compensation fund.

To date NO VICTIMS have received any compensation. Shine Lawyers have taken $30+mil in fees (and now they've "gone under"... but just the pelvic mesh arm of their business....).

Our new lawyers are now "reassessing" everyone, making them get legal records & medical assessments again... that we've already provided to Shine. Once they've assessed everyone, they'll decide who is eligible and who's not.

What right do the lawyers have to decide "who's maimed enough" anyway?

Can you believe that the current lawyers say those of us deemed "eligible" will receive a $4k payment in the next few months - after Medicare and Centrelink take their cut (as you have to pay back every bulk billed appointment, surgery or disability payment you've received because of the mesh) - most women won't receive much, if any of that pathetic payment.

The next payment the lawyers say eligible members will get is another $4k... in approx. 2027!

Now let's be clear about what's involved here with just removal surgery, my removal surgery will cost upwards of $20k, across 2 to 3 separate surgeries, with 6-9 months of downtime for recovery (maybe longer) and inability to work in that time. Not to mention the side effects and complications, that they don't expect will go away after removal.

How do they expect $4k will help anyone?

It's time people know the truth. Yes, they might kick us out of the class action for speaking up, but it's time everyone knew what we're fighting.

We won a landmark $300mil settlement from J&J... and so far the only people who've seen a cent of it... are the lawyers...
