COMICS2MOVIES was created through sheer love and passion for comics and film alike. COMICS2MOVIES was born in 2007 as a collectible business, in conjunction with some of Australia’s finest artists we created a series of collectible limited-edition prints. These prints were based on everyone’s favorite characters from comic books to films and even fan-favorite TV shows. Traveling the world doing co
mic conventions fuelled our love for comics. In 2013 COMICS2MOVIES turned its attention to creating its own comics and graphic novels with its first series the Xtreme Champion Tournament (XCT), which became Australia’s #1 selling independent comic book series. After the success of XCT in 2018 COMICS2MOVIES launched its second series Terralympus and then in 2020 became a full-time publisher producing series Talos of Sparta, The 13th Labor and teamed up with actor Dan Feuerriegel to create the dystopian cyberpunk detective series Fractured Shards. COMICS2MOVIES main focus is to create new worlds & universes through interaction, inclusivity & ownership. Helping creators grow, fast tracking their development and producing high-quality stories and products for readers of all ages. As a Publisher, we love comics and it’s our goal to help you fall in love with them too!

We are all setup and ready to go at Supanova Comic Con & Gaming Sydney this weekend at Artist Alley Table 25 in the second building with all the Supastar Comic Guests.

Make sure you follow the Xtreme Champion Tournament on Kickstarter for the relaunch of XCT Vol 1 and a brand new mythology book. This is one for both new and old time fans as it follows Spartacus in the future as he comes to grips with having to fight for his life once again in a gladiatorial arena.
With awesome covers, great artwork and an awesome storyline to boot this is a must for any fan of comics, Spartacus or just kick arse action!
Spartacus awakens in the future & is forced to fight to the death in the world's most watched sport the Xtreme Champion Tournament.
Been thinking about this for the past week and have also seen a little commentary about this online but I wanted to open it up and see what others think.
So here it is. Do you go to the movies? If so why?
With home cinemas, the cost of living and for what I believe is a poor customer experience at movie theatres these days why would you pay $30 a ticket (Hoyts) to see a movie.
I used to go to the movies every Tuesday night in my late teens and early 20's, going straight after footy training with a group of mates and seeing something new every week. Tickets were $8 (I know that was 20 years ago) but it was fun, you couldn't get the experience of a cinema at home like you can these days and it was a fun social event, sometimes having as much as a group of 20 of us going together with partners or friends. The lobby was packed and the atmosphere was great.
I went and saw Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes the other week and although I absolutely loved the film, I only saw it in the cinema due to a gift certificate I was given. The experience was not great either to be honest, the tickets were bought on a digital kiosk machine, I didn't buy anything at the Candy bar as I thought a slushie I could get at Macca's for $2 wasn't worth $7 at the movies, no one was even at the ticket checking stand and when I went through and for a prime time session, there were less than 10 people in the whole cinema. Again, the movie was amazing I loved it but with my cinema setup at home, I could have gotten the same experience there.
So again I ask, do you go to the movies? If so why?
Now many people say to support Australian film and on that I 100% agree, although I have bought and paid for streaming movies like Bring Him to Me, Godless and Talk to Me. Again all amazing Australian films I loved and enjoyed in the comfort of my own home.
So if the big movie cinemas don't offer a new and exciting experience and offer things you can't get at home e.g. Q&A feature, Making of Feature, collectables. Will you still go to the movies? If so why?
It was supposed to be a hit.

I'm super excited to say I'll be attending both Sydney and Perth Supanova Comic Con & Gaming Expos this June as a guest. Sydney is always a massive and great show, but I'm also super excited to get across to Perth were I haven't been since 2019.
