Some of you might be all over a sales funnel: but if you're not or you need a little refresher -- you might want to save this one. πŸ’

A basic sales funnel is the process people take to go from learning about your business (the awareness phase) all the way down to making a purchase with you (the action phase).

And honestly as a business >>> You just *GOTTA* know where your people are at!

Think of it this way...

If you have someone that is in the second phase, the interest phase, and they are just BEGGING you to give you them a little bit more information as to why your product or service is what they need.. and you miss that.. and you never give them that extra information that they need.. and that lead that was gently warming up and starting to simmer.. suddenly goes cold.. you've lost it!

Sale. Gone.
Money. Lost.

BUT.

If you're ALL OVER IT,
And constantly aware of where your customers are, and what information they need to get closer to a sale, you'll already have that information there waiting for them to see!

Wanna hear more about the sales journey a customer takes and some content examples? Let me know. I'm here to help!

Okay, I want to hear ALL about your favourite Social Media Teams.
Like-- what businesses or brands do you *LOVE* seeing on socials?

For me, I'm LOVING the sarcastic, "taking the p**s" style that is coming out in a lot of accounts lately.

AFL teams are KILL-ING-IT. πŸ‘Œ

πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Giving an absolute masterclass in how to have personality and a highly engaged audience to get around.

Not only is their content fun, relevant and highly engaging: they get a little bit cheeky in the comment sections too. They often show up in the comment sections of other AFL teams, making little comments and having a bit of fun.

Remember, how professional you need to be on social media relates directly to the type of business or brand you are.

Does your brand or business allow you to give of a bit of a cheeky / sarcastic vibe on social media? if it does, then maybe it's time to let your personality shine and have a bit of fun.

But if it doesn't... then you'll have to find another way to be entertaining and engaging πŸ˜†

Your brand and voice on social media should ALWAYS match the same brand and voice that your customers and clients will receive from you in person.

Let me know in the comments, who are you loving on social media lately?

The constant wheel that keeps on spinning, eh?

This one is pretty basic.

You start with promoting and marketing your business >>>
Which gives you brand recognition and awareness >>>
Which leads to sales (and hopefully profits) >>>
Which you then need to reinvest back into marketing and promotion >>>
Which brings you more brand recognition and awareness...

And so on and so forth.

However:

Times are feeling completely stuffed at the moment. And I understand businesses are trying to hang on for dear life, and to cut costs wherever they can-- whichhhhh often starts with the marketing and promotion budget. πŸ˜”

But remembering that the cycle starts with the marketing of your business, I'd recommend giving it a second, (and potentially third) thought before entirely scrapping your marketing money.

Alas, I do understand that this is easier said than done and sometimes there just is NO MORE cash available to be spent, but just give it a little thought, because if there is no brand awareness, and people don't know about you or your products / services... how will they purchase and spend money with you?

You know the days of posting a photo, followed by a text graphic, followed by a photo?
(Need a visual reminder? Scroll back a couple of posts on my feed and you'll see it... πŸ™ˆ)

Those days are over!

I mean, it isn't going to hurt if you want to continue... but it just doesn't *neeeeed* to happen.

What's much more important? Posting the stuff you want to post. The stuff that nails the messaging you want out there. The stuff that is going to make a difference to your business.

Don't get me wrong, you still want to ensure that your feed aesthetic flows nicely and represents your brand correctly - but if you post two photos in a row or two graphics next to each other... don't be so hard on yourself.

This one might take some convincing for some of us, I get it!
Are you going to try it?
Are you relieved to hear it?
Or you'll be continuing to keep that pattern going?

HERES YA TUESDAY TIP: A cheeky step-by-step on how to easily use your branding colours when you don't have access to typing in a HEX or RGB code.

Using consistent branding across all things concerning your business is important for solidifying that strong brand message. It helps keep you recognisable amongst your followers, the consistency builds trust, and it also cements your brand personality again and again.

More of a video tutorial kind of lover? Let me know, I'm happy to make this one with a visual format to help you on your way!

Well hasn't AI been the controversial little addition to the world lately! 🍿

I'll admit, when I first heard about AI entering the chat - I freaked out.
I thought I was bloody done for and that my days of a job in social media (or any marketing for that matter) were numbered!

But, a good year or so later, I'm happy to say I've backflipped.

There is no denying that AI will have a HUGE role in the future, not just in the way of Social Media Marketing - but just life in general.

The way to making it less scary, is knowing how and when to use it.

It's a tool. And that's where it should stay. It should help you do things, not entirely do them for you.

Getting it to write your entire social media caption and copy and pasting it straight in with no edits? Yeah that's going to tire pretty quickly!

But using it to help with an idea or clear up your thoughts and put you on the right track? Hell yeah!

Taking it straight from AI is going to seem ingenuine, it's going to be clunky and it's not going to have that personalised touch you should be striving for when you're communicating with your audience.

Have you used AI? Do you find it helpful?
Or are you keen to give it a try and have no idea where to start?
Let me know!

Fighting the urge to make a comment about "spilling the tea" with using this photo... πŸΈβ˜• but the truth is I don't really think this post is very tea worthy. It's just a cheeky explanation of where I'll be headed with my socials.
So, here is the long and the short of it:

(well, more the long because this gal has never had a quick thought in her life... πŸ™ƒ)

So many small businesses in Australia are struggling at the moment - this shouldn't be a surprise or a secret. But it isn't all doom and gloom, it just means things are a liiiiittle harder.

But, seeing as though I *too* am a small business, I am definitely feeling the struggle like so many others - This coupled with the fact that I've had my 3rd child this year - things are feeling a little different for me.

With a little extra time on my hands, due to not having the amount of work that I was hoping for at this point, and with my desire to "get back into the swing of things" after a lull - plusssss wanting to help other small businesses in the process: I'm going to be sharing as much value and information that I can.

In return, I hope that you follow along and get involved where you feel fits. This could be engaging with a tip or an idea that might help your business and letting me know how it went, or what did or didn't work.

Orrrrr, it might be sharing my profile or content with someone else that you think might want to come along for the ride.

The other side of this for me? Hoping a paying client or business looking for their next employee might stumble across! Because at the end of the day, I'm also someone who has a mortgage that needs paying!

For small business owners that are hanging around, I truly hope you get something out of the content I'll be sharing. If there is something specific you want to see, or something you'd like help with - reach out!

Because honestly this economy and market is so bloody tough, when one of us wins, all of us win!

Well, How bout it!
Nothin' like having your third baby to force you to take some time off, reevaluate your life - and your business - and really work out what it is you want to be focusing on.

I've spoke a couple of times lately about the fact that I have felt so bogged down by the rat-race that I felt social media had become.

A real uphill battle, if you like!

And I really didn't want to keep putting out half-baked ideas for the sake of posting and showing up.

So I took a breather, and spent some time going over, and over, and over (chronic overthinker) ideas in my head about what it was that I wanted to be doing, and how I could go about it.

That brings me here, today.

Business is feeling hard.
Social Media is feeling hard.
Life itself can feel a bit hard at times.
But that just means we need to change things up a little and do things a little differently.

So, if you too have felt a bit bleugh about things lately - and needing a little revive to your motivation in your business or your marketing or whatever it may be, tag along. I'd love to have ya here! I'm excited for this little rejuvenation I'm feeling, and I truly hope it can help you too.

☝First things first, if you want to make killer content that is actually going to have a positive outcome on your business - you need to give yourself some prep time.

Here are three things that I do regularly, whether it be for a new client or for someone that I've worked with for a while but need to update things a little bit.

Monthly? Quarterly? Whatever time frame works best for you will be the way to go. Work out what you're wanting to achieve, who you're achieving it with and how you're going to do it.

Spend time doing this now? Your future self with absolutely thank you for it down the track when it comes time to make content.

⚑️But I'd love to hear if this has worked for you.
Did you try it? What worked, what had you stuck, what do you wanna know more about? Let me know below and let's keep the conversation going!
