On Friday I was lucky enough to be invited to Google HQ in Sydney alongside the leadership team from Localsearch.

It was an eye opening day, seeing how much impact an organisation like Localsearch has on small businesses throughout Australia, and learning firsthand, the importance of our partnership with Google.

⭐ Small Business Shout-Out ⭐

A huge congratulations to our client Ryan from Ettalong Electrical Services who was awarded Citizen of the Year at the 2023 Australia Day Awards on the Central Coast for his initiative, Free Trade Day.

In 2017, Ryan started the 'Free Trade Day' initiative after helping a local who couldn't afford to fix his hot water system. This inspired Ryan to gather hundreds of trade businesses together and offer free services to people in need for one day a year. Since then the initiative has grown to include over 300 volunteers and a growing list of businesses.

We're so proud to be working with Aussies who are making a difference in their local communities.

😠 This article made my a little mad this morning, remembering the year that was! 😠

By now, everyone knows the importance of their Google Business Profile and last year I saw so many small, local businesses impacted by this move.

It appears that sometimes the machine learning gets it wrong and I saw local, family run businesses lose their GBP’s without a hint of warning.

With the help of their trusted Google Business Profile partner (that’s me, working for ) we were able to fight and have these reinstated, keeping the reviews they had worked so hard to get.

Optimise your GBP. Make sure it is well maintained and optimised regularly. If you can’t do it, let me.
