I want to shine a big, warm light on someone who’s been nothing short of incredible for our Christmas Aid this year — Jimmy, the legendary Rockit Man from 88.5 FM.

We’ve felt his support in a real and generous way, and on behalf of Swan Community Connect, We are deeply grateful. This radio station is a true community gem are a not-for-profit, run by locals and always lifting up the people and organisations in our community.

Round up the family, don’t forget the family dog and head to Bunnings Ellenbrook for their annual FREE Family Christmas Event. It’s on this Thursday 4 December 5:30 - 7:30.

It’s guaranteed to be another unforgettable late afternoon and evening of festive activity for the whole family.

Our crew will set the tone with lively music and create an electric atmosphere. Plus, our incredibly popular corn-hole game will be in full swing.

Going back to making mix cds for mates one continues to condescendingly ask if I’m playing enough Third Eye Blind, Big Audio Dynamite and RatCat. No Nick! I could never play enough of either.

Aside from that, I love some alt rock, chill electronics and, despite the gruff appearance, I am a sucker for a pure pop song.

🌞𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬

The mortgage on McGrath Manor isn’t going to pay itself off, so getting stuck into my role as a safety advisor for a company that I love working for would have to be towards the top.

After retiring from commercial radio at the ripe old age of 25, I did a summer in the US teaching kids about broadcasting and introducing them to Powderfinger, Paul Kelly and Barnesy.

Make sure you tune in every Saturday morning from 10 am to 12 noon to the 🆃🅷🅴 🅻🅰🆃🅴 🅻🅰🆃🅴 🅱🆁🅴🅰🅺🅵🅰🆂🆃 for both up-to-date music and some absolute bangers to keep the energy high and the good times rolling.
