Hello, my content-curious friends! This morning, we're ready to debunk some of the myths surrounding content marketing, ready?
First up, the myth that more content is always better. Wrong! It's not about the quantity, it's all about the quality. Nobody wants to read a bunch of boring, lacklustre content.
Next, the popular myth that content marketing is just about writing blog posts. Nope! While blogs are great, there are loads of other types of content out there, like videos, podcasts, infographics, social media posts, and more. So get creative and find the type of content that works best for you.
Finally, the myth that content marketing produces immediate results. Ooo, now wouldn't that be nice? But unfortunately, content marketing is a long-term game. It takes patience and consistency to see real results. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right?
So there you have it! Don't believe the myths - content marketing can be super effective if you do it right. Now go forth and create some awesome content!
Feeling discontent about your content marketing? For whoever needs to hear this today, it’s totally okay to feel that way! In fact, I can bet most of us content creators have felt that way at some point or another.
Maybe you’ve been working your tail off creating content, but it’s not getting the desired results. Or perhaps you feel like your content is not aligned with your brand’s messaging, or it’s just not providing value to your audience. There’s absolutely nothing to worry about. It happens!
Here’s 3 reframes for you:
1. It’s time to *experiment*: Instead of getting down in the dumps about it, use this as an opportunity to shake things up and spice up your content game! Maybe it’s time to switch up your formats, topics, or distribution channels to see what works best. (For me, it’s about time I experimented with Reels!)
2. Take it as a sign to rethink your approach: Your content is feeling a little lackluster and isn’t quite living up to your expectations or your brand’s values. Maybe your tone is off, or your messaging isn’t quite on point. Or perhaps you’re not sure if your audience is finding any value in what you’re putting out there. Maybe it’s time to reevaluate your content strategy and make sure it’s in line with your brand’s values and purpose for your audience
3. Think of these feelings of discontent as a sure sign of growth. Deep down, you know you’ve turned a corner and you’re learning and evolving as a content creator. All that cringe means you’re in new territory, so keep pushing yourself, keep learning, and keep creating value-rich content that your audience will love.
Don’t let it bring you down - instead, let it be the spark that ignites your inner fire for improvement and growth! Take that discontent and turn it into fuel for analysing and refining your content marketing strategy, so it can better serve your audience and align with your brand’s values.
