Imagine facing the world each day without access to basic hygiene products. For many women experiencing homelessness or escaping domestic violence, this is a harsh reality. That's where Share the Dignity comes in.
Who are they? Share the Dignity is an Australian charity dedicated to providing essential hygiene products to women and girls in need, ensuring dignity is not a luxury but a right. Every year, they run the "It’s in the Bag" charity drive, collecting bags filled with essential items to make a real difference.
🎒 What is "It’s in the Bag"? This annual drive encourages people to fill a new or gently used bag with hygiene essentials and little gifts of kindness. These bags are then distributed to women and girls in crisis over the holiday season, a time when the need is especially great.
How you can help:
Choose a bag you no longer use or buy a new one.
Fill it with essential items like pads, tampons, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. Add some extra love, like a heartfelt note or a small treat, to brighten someone’s day.
Drop it off at a participating collection point during the drive (check out local vollection points from 15th November to 1st December).
