There is a toxic social phenomenon that impacts almost every successful or fledgling creative. It a tendency to cut down others for their achievements. While Australia is a beautiful country to live in, unfortunately there is a tendency for our culture to propagate a negative view of success, it is termed Tall Poppy Syndrome. I personally feel that this reaction to success or a point of difference is due partly to being such a small country and a potential thought that success is a limited commodity. Of course this is so very inaccurate as we can all be a success in out chosen career or passion without without limiting others.

What people say is often a reflection of themselves, not you. Pay no attention to toxic words and where ever possible keep away from those who try to belittle your ambitions.

How amazing is this location....Redcliffe foreshore is absolutely wow....

This photoshoot was 6 weeks ago and so coincidental that I would be back in the same location to conduct a promotional shoot for Mammamia Musical yesterday....

Believe in your dreams, they were given to you for a reason.

In this series we return to the Redcliffe foreshore, it is a lovely area located 20km north of our state capital Brisbane. Besides being a great seaside location for dinning and leasure it is also the birthplace of the 70s super group Bee Gees. There is a full memorial dedicated the the super successful trio of brothers, Barry, Maurice and Robin Gibb, unfortunately it is currently closed for some TLC and will reopen in early 2021, we will return for a follow up shoot.....🕺🎶📷🇦🇺

We must be willing to let go of the life we had planned, so as to have the life that is waiting for us..... Keep yourself open to new possibilities....

While I feel that I am fortunate and have the best job in the world as a firefighter, I have always been a eager to explore alternatives. In my 34 years as a firefighter I have always had extra jobs or financial interests. Modelling was something that had never occurred to me but I am very excited to see what the industry has to offer as I near my mandatory retirement age from the fire service. I am currently working with a great mentor in and together we have plans in the works for some pretty exciting opportunities.....I can't wait to share them with you as they develop.....🤗🤗🤫🤫🤫

Right now some of you will be getting ready for bed, some will be having lunch and others just beginning your day...... Regardless of the time it is almost certainly Wednesday, the middle of the week, affectionately known as hump day by many..... The weekend is now very close and christmas is literally in single digit countdown......

The year is very quickly coming to an end and for most it can't come soon enough. What a totally crazy year....for me some of the intense activities have included fire, flood and pandemic response.... While Australia continues to face challenges I truly feel that I live in the most amazing country in the world. While much of the worlds population is still in crisis management to contain Covid Australia is virtually clear of infection. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of my friends around the world. As the world has done many times before, we will recover and a new world is just around the corner.....
