As the year draws to a close I'd like to thank all of you for making my first 6 months with the Vibe such a great experience! A special shout out to new advertisers Hectic - Body Piercing & Laser Tattoo Removal (my son just had a piercing done with Chantelle and she did an awesome job).

A welcome back to Organature Australia (now located in Newhaven) - they have some gorgeous stock in their store and Geneveive is so lovely to work with!

Also new to the Vibe is Prime Pest and Clean for all your pest control needs, termites, rodents, you name it, Danny can help!

Dimmeys in Cowes are recent additions as well, they still all the great bargains!

Phillip Island Dental are right near Dimmeys and open all school holidays for emergency appointments should one arise! New patients most welcome.

Finally Lifestyle Communities in Cowes just joined us - I must confess I sometimes dream of living in resort style accommodation when I retire! That or on a cruise ship, both look like fun to me :)

We are on the hunt for the first Local Legend(s) of 2026! Do you know someone who goes the extra mile for their community? Someone who does charitable work, volunteer work (including dressing up as Santa for the CFA for example), a server who always takes that extra care for their customers, or a shop owner who always puts their hand up to help out the local sports clubs? The panic can end, Craig is back with his Fishy News after a couple of months of hectic work on the Tidal Festival, Jess from Backyard Botany has some stunning native plants to share and we welcome new contributor Zoe Wood from Movement Lab with a fascinating article connecting breathing and your pelvic floor - a must read for all women.

Do you know a local legend? We are seeking nominations for people in the community who give back that little bit more than they take - they might do charity work, be an amazing neighbour, a small business that goes above and beyond... They might pick up rubbish from our beaches when they go for a walk, it doesn't take much to be a local legend, and we want them to know they are appreciated for what they do!
