Indi trying out the bed. These beds are amaaaaazing!!! All weekend I resisted sitting on one, as I knew I’d never want to get up if I did. They are made of human-grade orthopaedic foam and are 👌! 10/10, highly recommend. And of course, Indi agrees 🐾🐕💤

Indi and I hit the road today to do a library visit for some of the school kids in Tumbarumba NSW. We had a fabulous time reading my latest book, learning about dog body language, teaching Indi a new skill and answering lots of questions. Thanks so much to the Tumbarumba Library (Steph in particular) for inviting us along. (And a small “phew!” from me that my teenage Kelpie handled her first big group like a pro. Hooray!)

13 or so years ago I worked as one of the dog trainers for the stage show of Annie in Melbourne, and today, I finally got to actually see the show 😂 It brought back a lot of memories, filled in some gaps in the storyline and thoroughly entertained my girls, my mum and I. After the show we got to meet the dogs Sandy and Daisy, and Luke Hura from Paws On Film and I caught up after a very looooong time.

Whilst I’ve had her in my stories a bit lately, I thought you guys might like to see how Indi is growing up. She’ll be 8 months on Wednesday, and is just the sweetest little girl. She’s on holidays with us at the moment, and has met many non-kelpies on the beach - definitely something new for her! Despite this vastly different environment to the farm, I am so happy with how well she’s been going here. Honestly, it’s easier to be on holidays with this dog than with the three kids 🤣🤣🤣 I need to get her on sheep more often when we get home, but I need to juggle that with finishing my illustrations for the next book, and looking after the kids of course! Do you want to see more Indi posts as she learns nee things?
