Colac Herald The award-winning Colac Herald is Colac and district’s newspaper of choice. The Colac Herald rolled off the presses in 1868 and absorbed the Observer in 1874.

Produced by a dedicated team based in Colac, the Colac Herald arrives each Monday, Wednesday and Friday with the district’s most up-to-date and in-depth news and sports reports and advertising that’s a proven winner. A newspaper created for Colac and district by people who make Colac and district their home, the Colac Herald continues a tradition dating back almost 150 years to the launch of the C

Colac and district residents will have to pay an increased daily fare on Victoria’s public transport network from New Year’s Day.

From January 1, the cost of a daily fare anywhere across the Victorian network will be capped at $11 or $5.50 for a daily concession – an increase of 40 cents and 20 cents respectively. On a weekend or public holiday, daily and concession fares will be capped at $7.60 and $3.80.

Colac and district residents will have to pay an increased daily fare on Victoria’s public transport network from New Year’s Day.
