Vale Tina Turner ... Casterton Debutante Ball 2023
Live at the 2022 Casterton Remembrance Day service, at the Bahgallah Memorial Hall in its own 100th anniversary.
WEATHER could NOT dampen the fun at the Dartmoor Primary School's 150th celebrations today. Young Nolan Bull had the best fun, sending dad for a swim in the dunk tank - several times! Huge thanks DPS for having us - see Wednesday's edition for our birthday photo album 📸
Thanks Gill Bull for the video 👍🏼
Our little patch of the state is one of few (VERY few) not under emergency warning or watch and act advice from VicEmergency right now. If you have to travel, please check the warning systems. Our final video from the weekend, from Paul O'Connell at Wando Vale, shows just how conditions can change very quickly ...
Lower Coleraine Creek (yep, there's a road under there!). Thanks Ian McSwain.
Another big washout ... this time at Sandford on the Trevallas Rd, where 20mm hit in half an hour. Thanks Scott Lane for the footage.
More evidence of the size of yesterday's downpour. This creek on Fetherstonaugh Rd, Carapook, normally runs a few metres wide. This morning you can see that it was, at some stage, wider than the guard rails on each side of the road, carrying enough debris and force to dislodge them! Send us your pics and videos of the during or after, to share with our readers.
A drop or two ... while Casterton township seemed to dodge much of yesterday's rain, our outlying neighbours got a hammering. Sandford, Wando Vale and Carapook all recorded massive downpours. This video at Strathdownie shows what 50ml in just a couple of hours looks like - there's a much smaller dam somewhere in the middle of that lake! What's your place looking like? Please share your videos and photos with us!
