The Bundaberg Region Local Disaster Management Group advises people in the Bundaberg Region should STAY INFORMED of Tropical Cyclone Alfred that is currently moving southeast but is expected to slow down and turn west, towards the southeast Queensland coast.

For emergency help in floods and storms, call the QLD SES on 132 500 or download the SES Assistance QLD App. In life threatening situations, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.

What are we expecting?
The Bureau of Meteorology advises Tropical Cyclone Alfred is currently moving southeast but is expected to slow
down and turn west, towards the southeast Queensland coast on Tuesday. The Bundaberg Region is situated on the northern end of the watch zone and, due to the uncertainty surrounding the forecast track, the Local Disaster Management Group remains at ‘Alert’ and will continue to monitor the situation.

The current impacts for the region include:
- Increased wave energy and hazardous surf which may lead to severe coastal erosion.

What you need to do:
- Know your limitations around beaches, tidal rivers and creeks. Adhere to warnings from lifesavers and lifeguards.
- Stay up to date with warnings issued on the Bureau of Meteorology Queensland website: http://www.bom.gov.au/qld/
- Find out how to get ready for a tropical cyclone at the Get Ready Queensland website (Get Prepared) and make an emergency kit: https://www.getready.qld.gov.au/get-prepared
- Clean up around your home and tie down anything outside that could blow away in strong winds.
- Tell friends, family, and neighbours in the area.

Bundy, meet FRANKIE a 10 month old large brindle girl.
She is coming out of puppyhood and her foster family are watching her transform into this loyal, loving, playful and curious teenage girl who never strays far from your side .
She would suit most families, although we suggest as she is large of size older kids probably best. Would be happy with a fur brother to keep her company as well.
She loves the beach. Not shy of the water and is keen to wander around on her lead in the shallows. She loves the hose, the sprinklers and her baths. She loves people, pats and sitting on your feet.
As much as she loves human company, at times she loves having a little space too to chill like lie under the bbq table. She still has a little bit of puppy traits, but is growing into a lovely adult dog and would make the most lovely, loyal companion.
Get in touch with if you’d like to adopt Frankie or any other dog. You can catch the team at Petbarn this Saturday from 10am-2pm for the last adoption day for a couple of months.
