Cristian Monak, a Colombian artist with more than 16 years of experience in music, began his career in 2006 in the city of Pereira, with sets very characteristic for their eclecticism and his musical journeys ranging from genres such as downtempo to progressive.
His presentations have been in almost all the cities of Colombia, he has presentations in New York City and is now a resident of the Beach Club Chiringuito Tulum in Mexico.
Music producer since 2010, he has a wide repertoire of tracks with very special and characteristic sounds that have led him to sign on many of the world’s independent record labels.

The third release on ebb + flow Records features three original mixes/collaborations by our very own Saqib as well as a remix of one of these tracks by our very own A-Kintero.
The first track, Looking, is a collaboration between Saqib and Bryant Jensen, who are known to some as the Jamburglars, and features vocals by the classically-trained singer Marlene Fritzler. Recorded in 2019, Looking is an entrancing, introspective piece that examines self-identity along with the expectations of self and others.
The second track, Watercolors, is an original mix by Saqib with a melodic and progressive sensibility that embodies the ebb + flow sound. Created during quarantine, Watercolors is a yearning to wander at a time when we were bound by uncertainty and the confines of societal circumstances.
The third track, Don’t Slip is a collaboration between Saqib and Dynoman, a Pakistani DJ/Producer who co-founded Forever South in Karachi and is currently a resident DJ of Halfmoon in Brooklyn. Also conceived during quarantine, Don’t Slip is a harder and headier piece resonating with a driving energy that is about why we move and what makes us go.
The fourth track, a remix of Watercolors, is produced by Saqib’s ebb + flow brother A-Kintero, who took the energy of the original and ran with it. Created in early 2021, the Watercolors remix is a groovy party track that will uplift spirits as we dance into brighter days to come.
The artwork for this EP was befittingly made in watercolor by the artist Cern (instagram.com/cernesto) and was inspired by the progression of the music.
