Another day at the office! new venue, new client. QLD part of the National A-League, first game was last Friday night, after all the rain and storms we have had, it was a beautiful clear night. Relaxed crew and everything in place. New client, new production requirements, all going off with out a hitch. It's really impressive when the client rings from Sydney and congratulates you on a job well done. The job is only as good as the crew and we had the best. Onward and upward

Christmas Carols done and dusted for another year. Great fun down on the Gold Coast. HOTA is a fantastic location for this and even better for TV set-up. Cameras a hoy! In total we had 10 cameras on this event, ISO recording and main switch out, multi track audio for the final mix for post Thanks to Fi Deadman and Peter Threlfall made it run so smooth. At about 19.30 a massive storm hit and the we had to shut down for about and hour and half, then back into it. At least the pack down was not in the wet, just a great night.

Boxing on the Gold Coast!!! What a night!!! All of this cannot be done without full prep and great crew, that is what we are good at.

6 cameras, 3 on air positions, commentary, host and interviews. 6 IFB’s, talkback panels to AV and GFX, 12 microphones including effects and main microphones. 2 x PTZ’s and 1 x RF camera.

Full multichannel and package replays. How good is OB 2!!! Drove straight in the loading dock, parked 5 mtrs from the venue door, longest cable was 70 mtrs.

This could not be possible without a great crew, Wayne Souter directing, Mike Tully TD, Brian White AD, Peter Threlfall FM, this is the calibre of crew on our productions. This is reflected in the views we had, at no one time did we have less than 2900 views!!!! 2900!!!, the average view was 31 mins. With an on air time of 5 hours and 30 mins.

Full analytics we can break down the views to devices (mobile, desktop, etc) locations, Australia, NZ, England, Sweden, Singapore. With these analytics the client can target sponsors to a market.

Well that's another year done presenting the Brisbane Fashion Festival in King George Square, in front of the beautiful City Hall as the back drop.
Always a bit challenging because each year the venues are very TV unfriendly. The gear has to be bumped in and then after the gig everything gets pulled out each day over 3-4 days.
Love this little kit, so simple, 10 video inputs, mixer panel, audio mixer and then we just add the remote PTZ's and all we had was one "Manned" camera, on the end was the streaming kit, how simple.
This takes very little time to set up, saving the client money as your time is reduced in set-up and bump out.
Great fun each year.

Looking for a good sized talk back system? We have all types in stock for hire, including 2 wire balanced systems and RF belt packs.

The main frame is a Zeus system with pre-wired 4 wire ports, ATX, FM duplex ports with 4 x GPI's, 2 x telephone hybrids which can be used with the 2 wire balanced bases and belt packs.

The first 8 ports are for the remote panels which use standard 8 wire (4 pair) RJ 45 cables, the amount of panels can be extended to as many as required.

A variety of 15 keyed panels in stock with goose neck microphones or headsets. RTS software and laptop included in hire to program system up.

This a powerful system, all housed in a 8RU rack on wheels, All panels come in 2 RU road cases and can be stacked or stand alone.

Another one done and dusted. The 2021 Torian Pro Crossfit Semi Final held at Pat Rafter Arena, Thanks to Soutar Video productions.

We were approached by Wayne Soutar to design, supply and support this international event. The room which we operated out of had a very small foot print and this was where we had think vertical not horizontal. So, in rolls our “fly-a-way” kits, all based around our 2 main racks, the video and audio solution.

The Audio rack contains a 16 x 16 Probel stereo router, 6 x 3 out ADA’s, Talia audio monitor bridge to monitor both levels and listen to the outputs of any source, pre or post mixer.It also has a 3 Kva UPS for back-up of the auxiliary equipment hung off the rack including the presonus 24 channel audio desk, Yamaha 150 watt per channel amplifier for the two Tannoy near field monitors. RTS talkback with 24 channels pre-wired for IFB, commentary kits and radio bases. Every person had a panel, communication was paramount.

RF communications provided by the Kenwood Duplex digital/analogue base and Motorola radio with full headsets for all crew.

The Video rack also has a 16 x 16 router, stand-by vision mixer, sundry distribution amplifiers, plus a 3 Kva UPS for the video monitors, EVS, Streaming devices.

6 cameras, 2 RF cameras all back to our production suite.
There were two paths out, main and stand-by streamed to the world.

It was a pleasure to work with this team. Pictures tell a 1000 words so you can see how small our room was and what was crammed into this space. Great fun!

OB 2 is just kicking it! Drove straight into the venue, who said size counts? Small is not limited to ability.
Trip to Cairns, 5 cameras, iso recording, Multi level talk back, RF cameras, what can't the truck do. Fiber to all the monitoring and PTZ cameras. Fast set-up and de-rig, cost saving for the client. The client kept throwing a few requests and within seconds the client had it. They were blown away. The end client came up and said that this was be best production they had seen and we are talking about a national client who has done a heap of these.
It helps when you have a great crew based in Cairns too, thanks Andre, Steve and Dan, and of course my trusty offsider Chris
