Empire Studios is located just 10 minutes out of the city on the Ipswich Hwy or a short walk from Yeerongpilly train station. All air conditioned, all with powerful PA's and all well soundproofed. We have some hire gear available too like Drum kits and guitar and bass amps. We can even record a live demo for you in our fully equipped studio for an extra fee. At Empire we love rehearsals.. they are

the place where we can have a laugh yet our dreams can come alive! Rehearsal Rooms are a place where mates gather, songs are written, amazing times are had that are so memorable we hold onto them for years.. Well at least they do with me! I'm Matt, and me and my wife Nikki are the owners of Empire Studios. I have been rehearsing in rehearsal rooms for years in different bands in Adelaide. The rooms I used to jam in there were not as good as the rooms we have at Empire though! Competing with the band next door was always a problem especially if they were a bass heavy band that thing would rattle! At Empire you won't be competing with the band next door. The sound proofing is very well done and a lot of thought has gone into how best to minimalise sound bleed between rooms. You won't have the bass line from 'Working Class Man' smashing through your skull while your half way through your original masterpiece lets just say that! We want Empire to be an inspiring place to be and rehearse. Some really great Brisbane bands with huge talent and big followings grace our studios every night of the week! We have a tuck shop full of drinks, chips and chocolate for those mid session munchies! We will be putting a small shop in the front office for things like stings, Drum sticks and other music making necessities! Upstairs we have a Recording studio where we can record your next single, EP or album and share it with the world with top class gear, Pro Tools and nice comfortable, inspiring rooms to work in. You will be sure to enjoy your recording time with us! Empire Studios is 10 minutes out of the city on the Ipswich Hwy. just turn off onto Lucy Street and you'll find us. Hey everyone, Announcement time! Anyone who has been rehearsing with us will know the room numbers have slowly been less available due to more rooms going full time permanent. We are now at full capacity with all rooms (except one at the moment) being permanent so we are hereby closing for casual bookings..
I want to say thanks to everyone who has used our rooms because we have loved having you. We took over this place in 2014 and have been open 3-5 nights a week since then so this is a big change! We may open again for casual bookings so just keep an eye here for more info but for now we will concentrate on the guitar store upstairs and get that to the best guitar store in the world 😁
Sorry for those who call Empire home for rehearsals, if we find a new location for more rooms (if you know of somewhere with some rooms built or something get in touch!) Or if something changes we will let you all know.

Hey everyone! We are happy to announce we are opening back up for Tuesday and Thursday nights and weekday rehearsals to kick off! Open tonight and Thursday night and every weekday. Call to book or book on Bandwax!
We will eventually open for Monday and Wednesday nights but we'll see how busy we get.

Hey legends. We have closed our rehearsals today and will reopen at some point in the future when it's safe to do so. Our Coffee shop is still open for takeaways and our guitar store upstairs is still running online. Closed to the public as of today but will be on the phone and email as usual from 10-5pm weekdays.
Stay safe and try stay positive. We'll all get cracking again with gigs and fun times soon buy if we bunker down now it's going to be a lot better for everyone.

We had Aussie rock legends Jebediah in last week to smash out some tunes before their headline at !
I've been a big fan of Jebediah since Slightly Oddway came out in the late 90's so it was so good to have them in!

It's been a whole year since we took over this place!! We took over May 1st 2014!! We've managed to do a fair bit in that time. So stoked with how it's all looking and coming together. I thought if make a little vid so you could see the main differences which is the front foyer looking super cool and the new shop. If you didn't know we built the whole top level and put @pedalempire Guitar Store inside! Rehearsal rooms are getting the upgrade treatment next.. We've got new PA's just waiting on new mixers then new carpet and lights. Can't wait! Come check it all out sometime.
