It was so wonderful catching up with Allan and Margaret at the just now. These guys were part of the GCE for over 25 years as Margaret was the Bands convener and Allan was the announcer. (This is my 26th straight year as the videographer)

A wonderful experience for Brisbane dance students…..

BPAC COLLECTIVE INAUGURAL PROJECT
I am writing to give you all of the info about a new project BPAC has just embarked on.
In an effort to keep our funding going in to training projects and educational opportunities for PA students, we have set up the BPAC Collective which will produce one Pro-Am show each year alternating genres of dance.
The Inaugural show will be directed by Keith Hawley and feature Australian legends of the stage including Wayne Scott Kermond, Veronica Beattie and Rachel Dowse. These 4 amazing professional performers will mentor the student cast (approx 35 students in total from ages 12 & Up) while teaching them the choreography and will also perform alongside them in “Behind the Curtain”, an age appropriate Cabaret style show with elements of Vaudeville, Song & Dance and Fosse.
This experience is being offered FREE to all performing arts students and the shows, which will be held at Brisbane State High School PAC at Southbank in Brisbane will be held on 13 & 14 January 2023 with the rehearsal period starting on Jan 3.
We have sent all the information about this exciting new event to ALL PA schools in Qld and all of the BPAC Educational schools database today so please ask your teacher for more info or you can e-mail [email protected] to obtain your own audition pack.

Good morning everyone! I must apologize to anyone attempting to watch the Bend the Air live stream yesterday. Due to unforeseen circumstances and very poor internet signal, the live stream was not a success. 😡👎 I did everything possible to fix the poor Telstra signal, but unfortunately nothing improved. The first session on Friday night ran perfectly and nothing on my end changed overnight. All I can put it down to is that the Telstra service in Newcastle wasn’t strong or stable enough yesterday. I’ll be issuing everyone a full refund during the coming week. So sorry. Matthew
