It's Monday. Hope everyone had a lovely weekend and you all kept yourself out of trouble.
'Marauder' by German artist Ben Rau is a wicked deep house track that growls and grumbles its way to your eardrums, and a perfect choice for our Chill Monday this week.
Have a good week guys xx

Throwback Thursday here again, this breaks tune was officially released in 2022 but has been part of Stanton Warriors large catalogue for a while. From Bristol, England they’ve been smashing the music scene for many years, with their amazing breakbeats, garage, house music. With this chilled yet upbeat vibe and great to have a dance to, we though this would be a great song to share. Enjoy… #Stantonwarriors #throwbackthursday #breaks #bristoldjs #trexrecords
Disclosure’s breakthrough album, ‘Settle’, is a hugely influential record.
In recent times we’ve seen a major fusion between artists with house/techno/trance/drum and bass roots and those in pop, and this album was a major player in making that happen.
Some say the underground scene is losing its soul because of it, and there is merit to that opinion. But if it’s getting more eyes and, as such, more and more people having that lightbulb, ‘I get it now!’ moment everyone reading this has had themselves, does that not shine valuable light on something we all know can be such a force for good?
Anyway, Disclosure are a massive act now, but we still think this album is their best work. Every track is wicked, and ‘Boiling’ is one of the most underrated on there.

With a head more sore than Tyson Fury's, it's time for our Chilled Monday pick of the week.
London Elektricity are OG's of the Liquid DnB scene, and we have always really rated this track, 'Just One Second'. The whole EP is actually so sick, but our pick of the bunch is the Apex Remix.
Enjoy guys, have a killer week.

LTJ Bukem is the Godfather of Liquid DnB, and this Technicolor rework version of his masterpiece 'Music' is preposterously good.
If aliens came to earth and asked us to show them what music can do to the human mind, we'd show them this. A near-eight minute journey through time and space, this one's perfect for this week's Chilled Monday selection.

This week’s Fresh Friday selection is not one specific track. Instead, we’d like to share some thoughts on a genre that we at T-Rex are still exploring ourselves.
We all love a bit of old-school U.K. Garage don’t we? The very mention of it floods our minds with nostalgic artists like Artful Dodger, So Solid Crew (don’t pretend ’21 Seconds’ isn’t a banger… 👀), MJ Cole and Bo’ Selecta’s finest, Craiiiiiig David.
But the genre seemed to rise and fall all in the space of a few years, leaving the true peak of the Garage scene something only ravers in the mid-late 90s can appreciate.
Recently though, there’s been a resurgence, but with a fresh twist. Acts such as Bakey, Interplanetary Criminal and Soul Mass Transit system take inspiration from other genres such as DnB, Grime and Bassline and add it to garage style breaks to make a whole new style of underground music that is rapidly gaining popularity across the UK.
Tracks featured:
1. Flowdan - Welcome To London (Bakey Edit)
2. Soul Mass Transit System - Murderation (4 The Bristol Crew Mix)
3. Bakey - AM to PM (feat. Capo Lee)
