Submissions are open for an upcoming exhibition in “Sophos: Feminist Philosophy and Art Symposium”, a collaboration with and . 💙LINK IN BIO!💙

"The theme is feminist philosophy and art history, we are accepting works that explore the themes of feminism, gender, and womanhood. “Sophos” is a great opportunity to platform your work to new audiences inside and outside of Magandjin’s art community.

“Sophos: Feminist Philosophy and Art Symposium”, as the name suggests, is not only an art exhibition, but also a symposium with guest-led discussions and activities. We are on the lookout for thought-provoking artworks, prompting philosophical discussions and/or relate to these themes. The aim of the exhibition is to bridge the gap between art and feminist philosophy.

Please note that any artworks that allude to gender essentialism or TERFism will not be accepted.

We encourage artists of all experience levels and across any media to apply. “Sophos’ will be held at VENTspace in Southbank on 15th May, 2026. You will need to be available to drop off your work, morning of the exhibition, and collect it the same night. Non-local submissions will have to be constrained to digital mediums.

Submit an EOI (link in bio) by midnight, Friday 10th April to be considered, we will require a detailed concept of the work you intend to display.

We are looking forward to seeing your works and getting in touch with you soon! 🌟"

Join & for a night of fashionable and costumed life drawing! 🎨 6:30pm on Friday 27th March 🎨

"Across a two hour session, you will be invited to draw two costumed life models, designed by Mother Gore ()! Expect a captivating, challenging & show-stopping evening fulfilled with runway inspired poses to spark your creativity!

All materials are provided - just bring yourself & an open mindset!

No experience in life drawing or art is necessary, our sessions are open & welcome to everyone!

Our 2 models will be alternating looks throughout the night. Towards the beginning of the session, there will be a focus on gestural warm up poses, whilst the tail end of the night will be longer poses, giving opportunities to capture details or create multiple drawings! The models will be posing alongside a curated soundtrack and ambient lighting."

On Sunday the 23rd of November, & present 'REBIRTH' - a deeply personal and transformational performance grounded in Chiho Kagawa’s own experience wandering the edge between life and death.

Born and raised in Japan, when Chiho moved to Australia, a new life began for her. Years later, following a terminal cancer diagnosis and a stint in palliative care, against all odds Chiho miraculously recovered, emerging to find everything from her past—her former partner, family, friends, work–had vanished, and what remained was the voice of her soul.
