On tonight's episode we commemorate the life of DJ Randall who sadly passed away this week at age 54.

Samie interviews one of the UK's DNB legends - Outrage. They chat about Andrews personal life and an almost 30 year career as one of DNB's pioneers, as well as his dubstep moniker - Nomine. We'll also listen to Andrew, Samie and Kimi De La Haye's favourite tracks off Outrages new LP (out now on Function Records UK).

Later on we'll listen to the set SAMp3 closed Outrage's show here in Brisbane, as well as a bunch of new tunes from locals such as DnoS.DnB & Merkaba Maid, Skitzoid and onefifteen as well as some lesser known tracks from the likes of Ed Rush and Optical to get us gassed for their almost sold out La La Land Brisbane show -which is coming up on the Ekka holiday eve.

This week we are delving into some more halftime & leftfield orientated music with Perth based engineer Eputty , who just made his Brisbane performance debut last month, and has an album set for release at the end of this year. You may be familiar with the Eputty project, having performed at notable festivals such as Esoteric, RootBound & Rain Dance Festival, as well as a recently released official remix for K+lab. Skitzoid & Eputty have a chat about music before a guest mix to take us to midnight/close.

Morning heads! We've got another preemo show lined up for your cute lil ears tonight!

SAMp3 is on hosting duties this week and has selected a bunch of fresh tuna to play for you from the likes of Nomine (Outrage) + DJ Trace, Leaf UK, Particle, Submorphics, NEPTUN3, Torn and more!

SAMp3 will be playing a recording of his latest mix, which was performed at Outlook Festival in Chiang Mai last weekend, and to close the show Skitzoid will be jumping behind the decks to showcase all that is new and exciting in the world of Neuro Breaks.

Martian is originally from Wellington, New Zealand but now resides in Brisbane. He is a Drum N Bass and 140 DJ who has earned his chops supporting the likes Alix Perez, Skeptical, Halogenix , The Upbeats , Truth and many more.

He takes the reigns for the full two hours with a quality mix, Welcome to Brisbane Martian hopefully we will here some more of him in upcoming shows.

ATOMS FROM SPACE is the brand new Drum and Bass project from Sunshine Coast musician Rohan Nitschke (Zero Theory, Bearfoot).

A classically trained violinist from age 5, Rohan spent his formative years performing with the Sunshine Coast youth orchestra, the Queensland youth orchestra, and the Queensland Symphony orchestra. As a teenager, he discovered guitar, and drums, and his focus shifted to writing and performing with bands. For the next 20 years, Rohan earned a reputation as one of the hardest working musicians in South east Queensland, touring and recording with artist such as The Floating Bridges, Bearfoot, Ayla, Battleships, Drawcard, and many more.

A keen interest in electronic music led to Rohan building a studio, and developing his project “Zero Theory”, writing and recording his first solo album in 2020 aptly titled “Arrival”. This led to him signing with global electronic labels Altar records, and Merkaba Music, and performing at festivals such as Earth Frequency, Elements, Twisted Frequency, and many more.

In 2023, Rohan decided to begin a new project focusing on his love of Drum and Bass, and Atoms from Space was born. The debut EP “Falling in a dream” is an exploration of some of the many sub-genres of Drum and Bass, and has been well received by both the industry and the general public. Atoms from Space has developed into a live show that includes good friend Rob Burr on live drums and percussion, and plans are in place for another EP and festival slots in 2024.

This week we delve into all of the cool events happening in and around Meanjin between now and the New Year. You can expect to hear tracks from Klue, JAPPA, Pola & Bryson, Loefah, Conducta, Notion & Operon. Tonight at 10pm on 4zzz Zed Digital, we have this weeks episode of the TBDNBS with Green Eggs & Sam. In this ep we have two mixes from D.empty & Cuttle. Originally this episode was recorded (live) at The Quivr with everyone but unfortunately the audio recording failed (Major tekkers), but luckily we have two stellar mixes from both of them. Up first we have a no nonsense upfront tech step mix from D.Empty, then we roll straight into some liquid funk selections from Cuttle.

We are back to our ZED Digital programming this evening, episode 41 welcomes Drew Id a locally based dub/dub reggae producer with various works signed to labels such as Dubmission Records, Culture Dub & Rudekat Records, and a regular performer at Meanjin Reggae Festival. To accompany an hour guest mix from Drew Id, Skitzoid has a chat with him about festival diversity, the safe spaces that come with the dub reggae sound & how it has influenced his career.
