When you turn to the experts and scholars about Te tiriti O Waitangi - "New Zealand's foundational document" they will tell you that the treaty is "complicated and complex" and of course they would , they have to lol - because how do justistify a 180 year old continuing legal breach. How do you explain you haven't upheld legal obligations and agreements-that your whole legal system was birthed from? A legal system and governance system that is designed to work by law abiding adherence, agreement and partnership obligation ?

Sorry folks there's a gaslighter in the room lol and it aint us- Im surely not gonna sit here for another 180 years listening to " its complicated and complex" - quite simple really .....you tell me a single person you know if they haven't had a gun to their head? - that will sign away their whole life and existence for some lady... a complete stranger sitting over in England ? and willing say oh ...yes mrs qween here have it all - and in return i will have err um ? not a damn thing ? lol thats crazy ...and even crazier to think that anyone today believes that s**t is nuts lol - and for arguments sake no matter which angle you come from to justify any parts of the treaty and Māori ceding sovereignty ... You must acknowledge that the crown and its initial (representatives) even people today who still argue our willingness to cede sovereignty, is absolutely revealing of the type of people we were , and still are dealing with !

The siging of Te tiriti o waitangi and this longstanding battle has also documented the narrcisitc traits of behavior , abuse of power , coercion , manipulation, intimidation, Prevarication and mendacity ! that we have endured. And through all of that still no land back! Aue ! Still arguing to keep the language , preserve our taonga and now they wanna throw a referendum on top of that ..relentless !

Not a victim though, not stupid , not an activist either ...and defs NOT an ENABLER lol So this Māori girl wants no parts of Māori ceding sovereignty korero! tell your 180 year old lie elsewhere please and comeback with something that makes sense lol nga mihi and have a great day x

What a privilege to live on the whenua of one of the oldest continuing cultures in the world - 60,000 years of rich history wrapped up in the beautiful abyss of Dream time - what an absolute flex 💪 to our First Nations (moemoea )whanau as Maori I feel we totally understand what today means and what it has meant for the past 60,000 to just survive …a fb post cannot even fathom .

And to our other Aussies who have by force 👀🤦🏽‍♀️are hosting over 600,000 New Zealanders…. thanks lol thanks for the ibis bin chickens , Steve Irwin , one bunged up trolley wheel 😂 for the great white out the gate aussie banter , for the intense rugby and rugby league standoffs , the multiple bogan and kiwi road rage incidents and lastly that infamous 1981 Trevor Chappell under arm cricket bowl 😂 straya 🇦🇺

This beautiful soul completed her mahi here on earth Peho Howden , and she did a awesome job at that ! her body can now rest free of her physical limitations - she spoke bravely of Cancer and took it head on - owning her right to meet cancer how she wanted too - it was a journey that she shared openly and i am so privileged she took the time to wananga me through her experience , she was really a beautiful person - to who ever is battling this disease and to the whanau who support our loved ones through these difficult confronting times - we love you so very much - and my heartfelt prayer is that your medical team , your doctors , your healers , your prayers , your spirit guides , your green juices even lol- rise up to meet you and carry you through..- kia kaha ! and blessings on your journey x

I've always had a hard time meditating lol my mind and mouth have trouble switching tf off haha but the current world political climate is so burdensome to be honest - my heart and my mind feels heavy from the ugly inhumane treatment of tangata .

War sucks - seeing human suffering sucks! then on top of all that having to listen to bigotry and hate blasted over western mainstream media justifying such harm and ill treatment of others is tiring.

So, e te iwi join me down the rapeti hole for some guided sound healing meditation.... or just don't.... watch war imagery on your devices, get off Facebook -have some water and stay asleep lol

Well guess who does too? and so proud that our Pati Māori MP's Issued an official statement condemning atrocities committed not only by HAMAS but also the Israeli Government.

Imagine this - It's the year 1972 - these determined Māori and pakeha, March into Wellington - Parliament Steps... with a suitcase full of 30,000 signed petitions at hand! asking for our language to be acknowledged, recognized and taught in schools across Aotearoa.

"The origins of the petition emerged out of the efforts of Ngā Tamatoa and the Te Reo Māori Society, two university-based groups which sought to have te reo Māori taught in schools. Along with Huinga Rangatahi (the New Zealand Māori Students’ Association).

These are some of the people who we owe our gratitude for having a hand at saving our language!

But maybe for you that gratitude could belong to your nan or your koro who always spoke Māori to you - It could be your parents who enrolled you into a Kura Kaupapa - It could be the Marae, your Maunga , the awa that you grew up around with our language safely preserved there! either way this living breathing taonga continues to live on...

Who would have Imagined that today we have kura kaupapa all across Aotearoa, Exclusively Māori broadcasting stations in Radio and Televison, tik Toks, podcasts, books, online courses and...Te reo classes so overwhelmed there are waiting lists!

Our living Kaumatua (Elders) are truly our living taonga. They are the bridge of understanding from a world what "once was" to a world what "now is."

And our current reality, our "Now is " is shaping out to be pretty interesting.

Sometimes our now is... can look like and mimic....Human connection because the download speeds are fast and the access is expansive and global -but behind our screens and our filters on life - what is pono what is true?

Before all of this " Artificial Intelligence" we were once "FULLY" Immersed and connected in networks of community of Iwi and hapu ..grounded.... on Whenua and anchored by Tikanga.. and the beauty is its all still here - amongst all of this progressive chaos- our culture is Still living and thriving.

So, What happens when you belong to two cultures ? when you have two worlds that dance and collide ? Matua Graeme says you capitalize...take what you want and need from both worlds. Te ao Maori Te ao Pakeha x

The Chinese have an ancient Text called ”The art of war “ a book written intended for warefare but ended up being of relevance to successfully navigating every day life , adapting influential tactics in leadership and success at business .

And us Maori have the Nz land wars , With many accounts ( documentaries) and books written about our encounter . Accounts that alot of people didn’t want written down in history ! Because it didn’t make sense that a small race like ours with limited resources could cause absolute havoc ? And come up against one of greatest empires at the time the imperial British army 🤷🏽‍♀️ and just like the art of war - beyond our warfare tactics (which were on point 👌) we too are left with many life lessons , inspiration and mana !

This was uncles charm ! he was funny as hell - said it exactly how it was and loved a little drama - lol

I'm happy that I got to express my love and appreciation for him through words - every conversation we had would end in " love you" and I've quickly come to realize I ain't that special lol I haven't been the only one on the receiving end of his charm ...that's why he got 6 kids lol, heaps friends, and heaps of whanau who already miss him terribly.

Forever a Mischief... Muso & Entertainer! what an unforgettable way to be remembered. Love you Uncle!

Larger than life, a man of many talents, W***y was widely known as an entertainer in Australia and New Zealand and was on a first name basis with the stars.

W***y bought all those talents to radio, being a guiding light to our radio group, and bringing a sense of fun, mixed with a deep love of people.

Were you buzzing like I was, when Dwayne the Rock Johnosn shared Tama iti's TED talk on Mana, to over 350 million of his followers? I've been fortunate enough to be front row in attendance at a TED X convention and loved every minute of it !

Have you heard the story of “a wahine” a chieftainess , who sat over a Kumara pit and protected an infamous war leader from death … he composed the Haka ka mate from his experience down that Kumara pit …his name went on through tribes and down in history books and this Wahine who saved his life only mentioned briefly as “ the wahine “ but hay she has a name Te rangikoaea and she has a story ….this is her story 🥰

"Patupaiarehe are supernatural beings (he iwi atua) in Māori mythology that are described as pale to fair skinned with blonde hair or red hair, usually having the same stature as ordinary people, and never tattooed. They can draw mist to themselves, but tend to be nocturnal or active on misty or foggy days as direct sunlight can be fatal to them. They prefer raw food and have an aversion to steam and fire.

Patupaiarehe can be hostile to humans, especially those who intrude on their lands. They are believed to live in deep forests and hilly or mountainous regions, in large, guarded communities, though their buildings and structures are invisible to human eyes."

I just think there’s something truly special about Tane, taking the time to talk about the inner world of their emotions.

We’ve come a long way and still further to go on this Journey… it feels like it’s a tireless one, that needs constant addressing - but now more than ever this careful attention to our thoughts and emotions (mental well-being) is so Important.

Dealing with so many cases of su***de through the funeral home has been a sobering reminder that our Tane are suffering… and the possibility that small tools and concepts like these could actually be impactful on someone’s life ❤️

I hope you enjoy this korero as much as I did discovering the world of Above and below the line 😁

We are CREATIONS designed TO CREATE - in a realm of POTENTIAL POSSIBILITES - Do you have goals ? Do you have things you want to achieve and aspire to ? YOU , me , the fella down the road ALL have this power to do just that , it is in our very nature. Sometimes life throws those curve balls that bump us off course and have us believing that this isn't achievable ,our thinking and behaviours deviate us off this path - things that have happened in our past distort our present and leave us uninspired for the future .
