Have you ever thought about ALL of the moving parts that make up a modern sporting event? We certainly have (and one of us even has the spreadsheets to prove it!).
Where would cricket fans be, for example, without a scorer? Someone to record all of those details that we all love to see. Someone with the answers to all of those questions about runs per ball, what happened in each over, how many deliveries did that batter face, and so on. QCSA accredited scorer Gian Taviani from Wynnum Manly District Cricket Club is the man that can take us inside the world of the scorer – and he will indeed lift the veil and invite us into that amazing world this very Saturday morning!
That would be enough to make BITA show #810 one not to miss…but wait there’s more! We have made a list and checked it twice – and what do you know, BITA listeners are nothing but nice…
We are expecting a visit from Granta Claus! Yes, Grant Gunnourie will be joining us to give us The Leads on his 4ZZZ Hot 100 favourites (among other things).
As usual the Ballzzz in the Air support programme will include all manner of local (and a bit “less local”) sports to keep you informed and entertained, and all to a soundtrack of (mostly) local music! Yes, it will all be happening on 4ZZZ’s flagship sports programme SATURDAY MORNING (Qld time).

The grounds staff have done a mawvellous job in Studio #2, it looks a real picture. The curtain came down on the Hockey One season a couple of weeks back… and also on one particularly storied career at the top level. After 101 national hockey league matches, Queensland legend Shane Kenny has decided to step back from the representative level. With 101 games at this level, and almost 350 games in the Brisbane Hockey League under his shin pads, Shane has a story worth telling.
