Every year Blackbutt holds Australia's only Spring Avocado Festival! The Blackbutt Avocado Festival will be on Saturday the 11th of September 2021.
Bloominβ Beautiful Blackbutt is the gateway to the South Burnett Region. Blackbutt has a great variety of things to see and do, including the must see Roy Emerson Museum, two amazing Art Galleries, library, the famous Bunya Nut Cafe, a Pub with gorgeous meals, and the award winning Blackbutt Bakery.
Blackbutt boasts a variety of accommodation options including great camping and caravan sites at the showgrounds in Bowman Road.
The infamous Brisbane Valley Rail Trail (which is the site where our Avocado Festival is held) continues north from Blackbutt to Yarraman for 19km. The section between Moore and Yarraman is 47km and makes for a great adventure through the forestry and traversing some great Queensland countryside.
