Cotton Australia is joining the National Farmers' Federation to urge growers experiencing mobile connectivity issues in the wake of the 3G network shutdown to reach out for help and to report cases of service failure.

On behalf of all cotton growers, CA Policy Advisor Paul Sloman has met with telco providers and voiced disappointment with the level of service, post 3G.

“We will continue to fight for better service in rural and regional Australia and I encourage any grower to contact me directly if they are encountering major problems with their telecommunication issues. That way, we can provide their staff with examples and demand solutions.”

BIG HEART BARBECUE AND HOLY SMOKES FIREWORKS PUT ON A SHOW TO REMEMBER Support for the Bangalow and Mullumbimby communites continued with a fundraiser in Bingara tonight. The tally is yet to be finalised but donations were plentiful and the event well supported. It’s not too late to give, with collection tins still in place throughout town.
