Does your town have a mascot?

When Kevin Maddern was growing up in Bemboka, he met a bushman named Bob – and his strength, initiative and bush skills have always stayed in Kevin’s mind.

Now, Kevin has used scrap metal to make a character named after Bob to generate some interest in the town’s pioneering history.

He’s been a big hit at local dances and Lions Club events and can hold an axe or guitar.

Kevin, Bob and Brogo’s Eric Johnston visited the ABC South East studio this morning.
