Jimboomba intersection upgrade works

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has commenced construction to improve safety at the intersection of Camp Cable Road and Edelsten Road.

The intersection was identified for an upgrade due to the rapid expansion of local urban areas, increased traffic volumes and number of vehicle crashes.

Safety improvement works will include:
Constructing a dedicated right turn lane from Camp Cable Road into Edelsten Road.
Upgrading the Give Way sign to a Stop sign at the existing left hand turn lanes from Edelsten Road onto Camp Cable Road.
Resealing a section of Camp Cable Road near the intersection.
Installing road lighting to improve night-time visibility.
Installing a 2m shoulder and bicycle lane line marking.
Works will commence from 20 January 2025 and take approximately six months to complete. Over this period, motorists can expect changed traffic conditions and delays, and may experience noise, dust and vibration from construction activities.

TMR thanks motorists and local residents for their patience while these critical safety upgrades are being delivered and urges all road users to prioritise safety and drive to conditions.

Information on the latest traffic conditions will be available by phoning 13 19 40, or by visiting QLDTraffic on

Check - plan - go - with up-to-date traffic and travel information on road conditions, incidents, vehicle crashes, emergency roadworks, special events, road closures and congestion state-wide.

Welcome to the month of January and a brand new year!

The January page of our calendar features vibrant zinnias after wild summer storms:
“These zinnias at our front fence surprised me with their hardiness when we found them unscathed after wild summer storms. Who knows what this year will bring but may we all carry the gentle strength of the zinnia and keep adding vibrance to the world around us.”

Big thanks to our advertisers Tom Moore Plumbing, ACS Engineers, Freedom Health and Fitness Beaudesert and Elysium Village for supporting us! You can find details about the wonderful local services they provide on the January page of your What Susie Saw calendar, and in this attachment.

2025 will be a year of change for the Beaudesert Bulletin, but not too much change!

In January 2025 we will be moving from our Brisbane Street office to new premises in William Street. We are looking forward to the change of scenery and the opportunity to connect with people throughout the year in the new office.

Thank you to the Beaudesert community for your support and for being part of the Beaudesert Bulletin family for the past 5 years.

We wish all of our readers a very safe and happy 2025.
