So with White Cat & Ralph not getting along, I listened to expert and non-expert advice - which suggested getting another cat.
"Get another cat" they said " A cat of a similar age and energy levels" they said. Ralph will play with the new cat and leave White Cat alone (they said).
The Experts and Non-Experts were equally divided on the wisdom of this advice. Another cat will either fix the problem or make it worse.
"Well," I said, "there's only one way to find out" The vid is Ralph's reaction to a ginger visitor to our yard. I think he needs a friend.
Hey! I just wanted to drop in and say thank you for sticking with me, even though I don't post very often.

White Cat's first adventure on a harness. She's so conflicted - loves being outside, hates being harnessed. Baby steps...
So what's better in the eyes of an abandoned cat than regular meals, a warm snuggly bed, health care, and endless cuddles? GOING OUTSIDE! Whenever she's not asleep, White Cat spends her day scratching at the door and crying to be let out. It got so bad that the vet prescribed sedation. I couldn't get video of the frantic scratching, because whenever I approached she politely asked for the door to be opened. There is no way she can go out until her ears and eyes have healed from sun damage.
We recently rescued an abandoned cat, who had sunburn damage to her face, ears and eyes. The vet advised a total transition from an inside/outside to an inside only cat. We named her White Cat.
