Part of the original crew from the start of 99.3FM (back in 1996/7) PJ is back in the big fluffy chair serving up Breakfast radio, once the caffeine (& the little blue tablet) kicks in you can expect a heap of old skool fun, trivia & great music as we fill the CD stacker with the best music from the 80's to now. We'll get you to join in the show with your thoughts on local & social topics, plus when the boss isn't looking we'll give away some awesome stuff.

He’s deeply grateful for the friendships, the laughs, and the countless memories shared with our incredible community.

Bathurst will host Beatlesfest 2025, with the popular festival moving from Lithgow after last year’s success. The event will take place from August 22 to 24, featuring live tribute bands, Beatles-themed exhibitions, markets, and guest speakers.

Festival organisers Wade Jackson and Jonathan Sequeira said the move to Bathurst was a natural step as the event continues to grow.
“We’re excited to bring Beatlesfest to Bathurst. The festival has been growing each year, and we believe Bathurst provides the perfect setting for an even bigger and better experience,” they said.
Bathurst Deputy Mayor Cr Ben Fry welcomed the announcement, highlighting the benefits the event will bring to the local community.

“Hosting Beatlesfest 2025 is a fantastic opportunity for Bathurst. Events like these not only celebrate music and culture but also bring visitors to town, supporting our local businesses,” he said.
The festival will take over Keppel Street, offering a range of activities for Beatles fans, from rare memorabilia displays to interactive exhibitions and themed markets.

Organisers say they are working closely with the Bathurst Regional Council to ensure the event is a success.

Head down to Russell Street to see the cars up close and get your favourite driver’s signature before all the racing action kicks off at Mount Panorama. The cars will arrive between approx. 10.40am - 11am.

Congratulations to our 2025 Citizen of the Year, Karla McDiarmid.

Karla is the owner of Macquarie Medi Spa which she started over 22 years ago in Bathurst when she was only 21 years of age. After leaving school at age 16, Karla is now recognised as one of the skin care industry leaders not only locally but also nationally. She has represented Bathurst through business on a national and international level and was named global winner Best Spa Manager of the Year in 2023/24, twice named the Bathurst Business of the year and has previously won the Youth Bathurst Business Leader Award. Her business has also won Australian Beauty Salon of the Year multiple times. Karla is a Co-founder of the Australian Beauty Industry Council, Dermalogica Australian Ambassador and is a positive role model for both men and women in the beauty industry. She is a qualified trainer and assessor who has personally taught over 30 beauty therapists.

Karla was named the 2024 Humanitarian of the Year at the Australian Beauty Industry Awards for her volunteering and charitable work. Karla regularly volunteers at schools educating young people about skin health, careers and wellbeing whilst also being a business mentor to other business owners.
Karla has donated her time organising the last four Fashions on the Field at the Bathurst Thoroughbred Racing Club major meetings held twice a year. She also volunteers for many charities including Wires, Lifeline, Lions and supports events and charities such as Ronald McDonald house, CEO sleepout, Streetheart, Share the Dignity, Daffodil Cottage, Girl Guides, local schools and charity auctions.

Australian journalist and television presenter Simon Townsend has died aged 79. His family confirmed that Mr Townsend had a short battle with an aggressive cancer.

He was best known as creator and host of the children's television show Wonder World.
