2 December 2023 - THE FAMILY CHEMIST

Until I interviewed Marcus Heiner, from the Family Chemist in Bathurst, I really was unaware of the amazing range of support that can be offered to our community members - like people monitoring their aged parents' prescriptions through Med-Advisor, getting a full checkup of prescriptions etc by your chemist to improve your health, access to free chemist items that seniors on a Concession Card should be getting from their doctor by prescription, eg, eye drops, moisturiser, surgical stockings etc. If you're interested, please click on "Marcus" icon below and listen to the interview. Feel free to make a comment.

12 May 2023 - Today's program is a review of an interview with Matthew Irvine about obtaining your driving license when you are 85, 87, 89 and so on. For your test with Matthew, you drive your own car and leave from home; drive around for a while until you feel comfortable and then you do the test. If you wouldn't pass the test, Matthew won't let you sit for it. However, if a few lessons would enable you to get your licence,Matthew will let you know.
My interview today is about Cafe Viva and Viva Eats - organisations run by Vivavibility and mostly staffed by people with disability - this is a fantastic interview which benefits the staff and the community. Also, there's activities for listeners in both Bathurst and Orange - There are five Webinars for LAW WEEK (next week) and you can all do these one hour courses online from home.

28 April 2023 - if you are concerned about taking a driving test at 85, 87, 89 and so on, I encourage you to listen to my interview today at 10.45 am with Matthew Irvine from Calare Academy of Road Safety which, as you can see from the photo below, is known as CARS. Mathew eases you into the test before taking it. There is a small fee, but it is well worth it to remove the anxiety associated with your driving test. Apart from testing in Bathurst, Mathew travels from the Blue Mountains to Mudgee, and he was far out as Dubbo. Don’t forget to leave a comment.😊
