Silbert Records Silbert Records began life as a pipe dream in the head of young entrepreneur Joseph Marshall.

With a focussed interest in children's television soundtracks, there was no one better to take the reigns of a record label specialising in this kind of release.

I can't believe I have to say this but do not post Ferry Boat Fred to YouTube or Archive or what have you - we will have them taken down.

The official youtube channel and DVD are almost ready so by doing this you are taking away income from the creators. So let's not. Thanks.

VALE Britt Allcroft (1943-2024) - Producer and Creator of "Thomas the Tank Engine", "Shining Time Station" and "Magic Adventures of Mumfie" TV series.
It is very hard to formulate words for this one, but Britt Allcroft was one of the most influential children's TV producers and thus has obviously had a big impact on mine, and so many others' lives. Very very sad, rest in peace. We are very grateful for Britt co-operating with us when we released some of the "Shining Time Station" albums.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from everyone at Silbert Records!

We are late, thanks to Fred's captain falling asleep AGAIN but better late than never.

The Fred DVD progress is coming along well, our newest update is pretty big - thanks to NFSA - National Film and Sound Archive of Australia for working with us to get hold of the 1989 Ferry Boat Fred pilot -- which has never been seen by the public before -- for our DVD release.

There will be a few other bonus features but you'll have to wait for the release!

Here's Fred, Kate, Pete, the captain and a seagull with the very copy of the second Fred video that started all this - given to my brother and I by a friend of mum's, long after the show had stopped airing.

Without it, we may never have seen the show and I doubt we'd be at the stage of a DVD release. It's so surreal to me that this is happening all because of this very copy of this video.

Caught up with long time friend and mentor Chris Neal - absolute legend as always. At this point everyone will know him, but Chris was the composer for Johnson & Friends and Lift-Off's music consultant (plus songwriter and writer of both shows' theme songs)

Chris was the catalyst for many of my projects which includes Silbert Records - I have had an interest in this music for so long and being able to work with it in a business capacity has been lifechanging. All because of this man, who believed in me at a time when so few did.

Keep up the good work legend, keen to see what you do next Chris!
