Latest build. This split snare. I was going for a 'Hinger Space-Tone' look. Obviously the Hingers are adjustable whereas this is fixed. Some consider the Hingers the holy grail of snare. They are certainly very expensive! Anyway, this was my first attempt at a high gloss lacquer finish, which was more involved and difficult than I first imagined, regardless I'm pleased with the outcome. As for the sound....well...it certainly needs to be absolutely smashed to get that crack! Heavy hitters would dig it!!
