Radiothon Week has arrived! Starting today and finishing with our public Open Day on Sunday 27th.

We are always grateful for the tremendous support from our dedicated listeners, and of course we hope to have it again this year. The money donated throughout the week is absolutely vital to keep 5EBI on-air.

Monies received from Radiothon 2024 will primarily be used to upgrade studio facilities. Listeners are updated throughout the week on donations received and the target hoping to be achieved. This year we are hoping to raise $50,000 for much needed studio upgrades including computer screens, microphones, media players, improved lighting, new (and more comfortable) seating for our esteemed presenters, and a new telephone system with which to talk to our valued listeners.
Much of the equipment our broadcasters use today is over twenty years old, and with daily heavy use, you can imagine the importance of refreshing these vital tools of our trade!

Tune in this evening from 5:00pm for the Polish Youth Show presented in English by Gosia Legedza. Tonight's show has something for everyone including film, music, noteworthy cities, and a new museum about chocolate!

With the Adelaide Film Festival about to start in just over three weeks' time, I'll highlight the Polish film "Green Border" which will be screened during the festival.
I'll be featuring Polish psychedelic, post punk band Trupa Trupa, whose song was included in the film.
I'll also mention two new documentaries about Frédéric Chopin.
A Polish neighbourhood has recently been ranked among the coolest in the world, and a Polish city has been named as European Capital of Culture for 2029 - tune in to find out what they are!
And I'll tell you all about the brand new chocolate museum which recently opened in Warsaw.

5EBI FM Multicultural Radio - our new listening app!
It's now available from the App Store of either your iPhone / iPad or your Android.
Once you've installed the app, live streaming 5EBI on your phone will be as simple as one tap on your home screen.
This is just for live streaming - if you want to listen to past broadcasts via On-Demand, you still have to do that via our website. However, with our web address clearly in the app, you won’t need to type it into your browser!

আমাদের প্রতিদিন বিভিন্ন ঘটনার সম্মুখীন হতে হয়। এর মধ্যে কোনো কোনো ঘটনা আমাদের মনে সুখানুভূতি তৈরি করে, আবার কোনো কোনো ঘটনা আমাদের মনে তেমন কোনো প্রতিক্রিয়া সৃষ্টি করে না, এমন কিছু ঘটনাও ঘটে যার কারণে আমাদের মনে বিষাদ, রাগ-ক্ষোভ কিংবা দুঃখের কালো মেঘ নিয়ে আসে। যখন আমরা মানসিক স্বাস্থ্যের ব্যাপারে সচেতন হব, তখন এ ধরনের পরিস্থিতি থেকে উত্তরণ করা সহজ হবে, দ্রুত স্বাভাবিক অবস্থায় ফিরে আসা সম্ভব হবে। যে কারো জীবনে দুঃখ-দুর্দশা, হতাশা- নৈরাশ্যের কালো মেঘ বাসা বাঁধতে পারে, তাই বলে জীবন কিন্তু ব্যর্থ হয়ে যায় না।
